This is mi second favourite costume and I'd love to know how to make it better. <-obviously....
So please, any comments except "I love it!" or "I hate it!" are welcome^_^
There are two pics, The link was a photo shoot and mi bangs weren't the right length and I didn't style mi hair properly, the attachment mi jacket foldeded over on itself (You'll see what I mean) and I didn't notice....

I hate to have a double post but I couldn't get the attachment to work... even when I tried editing.
Still can't get the hang of it, so here:

Wow, it looks pretty nice... But, I don't really have a reference image to go off of... Hold on
Okay, here we go. Well, the trim looks really nice in the pictures! Lemme see... It might be better if instead of using ribbon for the sash, you use some purple fabric, more like a sash. The little tassle gold thingies look almost perfect, and you have really good hair for the costume, too! Though, you might wanna mess with the bang things a little bit, and make them thicker...
It looks really good overall though! ^_^

I second the need for a wide fabric sash, and would like to add that the shoes you used with it were really jarring to me. I know what image you based this off of, and it was cut around the knees, so I believe you improvised... but I can't recall Hotohori ever wearing boots like these (which on top of being boots are also very girly). I would recommend patterning the bottom of the costume after his travelling outfit, with the same sort of pants/socks/shoes combo. It would look more "period" and accurate for Hotohori.
I'll add a nitpick... if you really want to emulate his hair, you should layer your bangs and use gels to separate strands and give them a lift.

Yes, I was improvising. I picked those because I had no more money and already had them. But that's a good idea^_^ Thanx a lot.

Going on the bangs tangent. If you find someplace or someone who can guid you as to how/where to find/make a bang clip that would be awesome. That would be less stres on you in th elong run. I don't know how bang clips are made and never really saw one.. I was suggested to get one though. Hope I helped.

Hmm... bangs. Them is mi bangs I cut just yesterday.. I don't really know how to do hair. I could gell them like you suggest Rosiel (btw, please *DO* nitpick, that's what I'm looking for)
Is there anything out there that could perhaps explain to mi in more detail how to layer mi bangs and acheive that effect?
