Hi guys! My friend and I were planning to make our own cosplays for Rin and Len Kagamine :3
-severely excited-

This is our first time doing a Vocaloid cosplay, and we were wondering what types of fabric did you Vocaloid cosplayers use to make Vocaloid uniforms o.o?

please leave a comment^^!

Thank you, everyone *-*!

I think the place to take this is the Vocaloids forum, but ah well.

For the shorts, I'd suggest using cotton twill. It's the same stuff that khaki pants are made of, but you'd want to use black and not khaki-colour. The shirts I made for my Rin and I are made of stretchy t-shirt fabric, which you may or may not want to use depending on how much sewing experience you have. The yellow trim on the shirts is pretty easy to do with bias tape.

You can probably look for cottons - they are easier to work with and come in different finishes (a little shiny, dull, etc). Best thing to do is go shopping! Walk through the whole store and pull out a lot of fabrics to look at. Unroll some from the bolt to see how it feels and what it looks like. The bolt can be deceptive. Good luck!
