Ok so me and my friend Miranda (shadow Link) made some quick costumes for PCC 2010 and we went as Link and Shadow Link, we ended up meeting a blue link =]] and her boyfriend happens to have a red link costume =]

So we need MAJOR improvements on our costumes. They were very quick and not detailed at all. If you could possibly give us some tips on what type of material to use, we would really appreciate it =]. Here is what we need:

Green fabric for the tunic and hat??
Blonde wig (we already have shadows wig)
Whitish-tan undershirt (where is the best place to buy it?)
Brown under shirt/dress thing (what is that??)
Gauntlets
Belts (where to buy??)
Hylian shield, prop master sword, and ocarina (where to find?)
Boots
Leggings

If you could help us find any of these things we would LOVE you forever and ever =pp Haha sorry just realized i posted this is the wrong forum XD

Please provide a reference picture. There are so many Links to choose from. It's all clouding up in my head.

For the belts, you can go to good will I guess.
I got an ocarina at a Renaissance Festival. But you can easily find them online. You're looking for a traverse ocarina.
For the sword, you can try and find a wooden prop sword that looks similar in shape, sand it down, and paint it. You can customize the handle by forming the basic shape that you need with plaster strips and forming the details with a nail file.
For the shield, you can probably dig around the props and accessories forum for tips. My friend has a shield made of a flat piece of wood.

The shield, sword, and belts can also be commissioned if you're willing to look around.

For the wig, there are a few options.
From Arda (http://kingdom-arts.org/colors.html)Wigs (the name of the wig is at the bottom of the picture)

From Coscom's own wig store:

http://shop.cosplay.com/wigs/zephyr/soft-random/soft-random-yellow-gold.html

From Amphigory:

http://amphigory.com/wigs_fy_modern_edge.html
http://amphigory.com/wigs_fy_always_sexy.html

That last one would need a bit of styling...

Anyway all three of these companies seem very good. Arda wigs was at Otakon and their wigs seemed quality. I've heard a lot of good things about them and intend on ordering my Tetra wig through them. Cosworx, though expensive (though their own line isn't so bad), makes very nice wigs. I own their Clover and it has been through hell and back without dying completely. And Amphigory has amazing customer service! They got my wig to me just a day after the con I ordered it for (sounds horrible but I had ordered extremely late and then my area got hit with a blizzard big enough to cancel a week and a half of school). It's really nice, too!

You have a list of things you need so what do you need help with? Most people just shop around ebay/other sites or just going to local stores for belts/wigs/boots/armor (some times on that one). The other things can be made by you other wise if you get someone else to make them it will cost a pretty penny. Green fabric? What kind do you want? You should just probably go to a local fabric store to look around for what you like.

The brown undershirt is chainmail. Many people weave it with thread for a lighter version, but if you want to go all out get some metal rings, or even jewelry wire and make your own. You can find tutorials on Youtube. Making chainmail is pretty involved and you have to make it according to your comfort level because any kind of hard metal will be HEAVY. Try cheap jewelry links!
