Hi everybody, my girlfriend and i would realize the Captain Shepard Female suit for a cosplay, we were thinking about using a snorkling suit but the problem is how to create and apply protections and shields to the suit. Somebody may help? Any ideas?

You probably don't want to use a wetsuit (snorkeling suit), it would be extremely warm and uncomfortable. You probably want to go with a regular spandex bodysuit instead. You could buy a solid grey or black one or you could find someone to custom make it if you want it to have a specific pattern or something.

Also, exactly what Shepard armor are you planning on making? There are several different armor sets to choose from (the two you linked seem to have different leg armor) as well as textures. One good step would be to make that in the game so you can have a bunch of different views of it.

You won't really be attaching the parts to the bodysuit. You would instead be using the bodysuit as a base and making armor that can be worn over it. For starters, Wonderflex would be pretty great for making most of the armor. It can be heated and then molded by hand in to whatever shape you want.

There are a lot of Wonderflex armor tutorials out there.
This girl is pretty amazing:

It's not a tutorial, but she has pictures and explains her process of making wonderflex armor (just to kind of give you an idea of how it can be done) and how she attached it. You can also see how she used a spandex bodysuit as a base and built the armor to wear over it.

Here is a thread that links to a lot more information and tutorials about wonderflex armor:

Here's a blog detailing construction of two sets of armor from Mass Effect. (http://bioweapons.wordpress.com/)

You could also check the Mass Effect sub-forum (http://www.cosplay.com/forumdisplay.php?f=228) on this very site.
