Hey~! One of my next cosplay projects I plan on tackling for an upcoming con is Jill Valentine's STARS uniform from RE1. I found some berets and patches I'd like to purchase online, but I'm always hesitant.

This is the beret I'm considering:

And the patch:

Has anyone purchased this hat before? o 3o
And if anyone has any tips, they'd be greatly appreciated, especially on those pesky shoulder pads. Thanks~!

I have purchased the patch from that specific seller. It looks exactly as pictured and is the right size for any RE cosplay.

About the beret, my girlfriend bought the same, and that's a pretty good item. Perfect for your cosplay in my opinion ;)

I think that's the same beret I bought some years ago. Love it, but dont think Ill ever get around to using it, as Im doing the black variant of the same outfit.

Also, Im currently working on a pair of Jill's shoulder pads, so if you're still looking for help, I'd be glad to offer some.

(Yeah, I know, this thread is a month old)

I'd like to know how you will make the shoulder pads, as I said my GF is working on a Jill costume, and she don't have a clue about how to do good looking shoulder pads :)

I have 4 pieces altogether; a collar, the 2 shoulder pad pieces, and the piece on the back that sits between the 2 shoulder pads. All the pieces were first drawn out on paper, except for the collar, I grabbed one from a shirt pattern.

Reference is kinda iffy on the actual shape; one of them showed that the back side of the shoulder pad was angled, while others showed it wasnt....and it actually isnt. I took reference from the RE Archives book as well as one of the figures.

I dont have them sewn together yet, just the fabric cut out. I still need to pick up the webbing and hardware before I begin sewing. Ill see if I can take some photos of the pieces so you can get an idea of the shape of the pads.

That would be very kind ;)

Hey guys! :) I too am thinking of making Jill's STARS uniform (as my first ever cosplay >.<; ).

I was wondering about the shoulder pads as well, but also was sort of confused looking at reference pictures because her beret, pants, and even the shoulder pads look somewhat green in some pictures and a very different blue in others.
Blue is the way to go, right? Maybe it's just the lighting..or I have really bad eyesight xD.

Here's some of the pictures I am referring to...

Greenish:

Blue:

I'm assuming I should follow the color scheme of the second image, but what do you guys think?

In game her shoulder pads are a dark blue (a few shades darker than the second image), both images are the GameCube remake, so it just depends on whether you want to do the Gamecube version or the PS1 version, since the original has Jill's shoulder pads darker and the pants are a little different colored.
