I was not sure where to post this, please forgive me if this is the wrong forum!

I am very, very new to cosplaying, although it has held a fascination for me for a long while. Recently I have been spurred to put together my first proper costume - when I found out that I am totally clueless as to where to find most props and materials! I have of course checked out the 'where to find...' thread, but I have not seen any posts that pertain to the buying of 'standard' pieces of clothing from which to build an outfit, such as faux leather pants or a specific type of gloves. I am no great shakes at sewing (yet!), and in order not to ruin this first attempt, I feel that it is safer to construct as little as possible myself.

I am looking for the following items:

- Black faux leather/latex/shiny material catsuit, or separate leggings and top
- Matching black gloves
- Leather collar
- Cat mask (I would maybe make this one myself if I knew how, any tips?)
- Adhesive to stick the mask on
- White faux fur
- A full looking long white wig

I am of athletic build, and rather short (5'6), so store size Small usually fits me.

Thank you all in advance for any tips, link or hints! n___n <3

I would go with a full catsuit, in the end it would be easier than doing two pieces. Plus no worries on it separating during photos, etc. or having to worry about how to keep the two pieces together. As far as finding one, try the LOH (http://theleagueofheroes.yuku.com/) or SCF (http://thesuperherocostumingforum.yuku.com/),tons of resources.

The leather, Tandy Leather craft
The faux fur, Jo-Ann Fabric
The cat mask, there are a few vendors. Check the sites above, you'll find them.

Hope this helps.

The Black Cat was my first cosplay! Which version are you doing? For the cat mask, I just drew it on with a face paint stick.
