Finally, after it gave me so much trouble.

I would like to know what you guys think. This is just an image of the dress itself, I'll have some pics of my wearing it with the wig and the shoes and everything after I wear it to a con on the weekend.

The character I am going as is Ryoko and here is a reference pic:

Oh yeah, I haven't stuck the white box thing on yet, but I will.

So, is it ok? I think it's sucky, but my Mum says that I am paranoid...

looks great to me ... love the logos on it.. well done..

only thing that looks at all odd is the gray shoulder pieces.. almost looks like they were put together at the last minute.. maybe if they got a little narrower as it gets to the edge and rounded off.

Try makeing the grey shoulder parts out of something other than fabric, since the peices themselves are not fabric. Sculpy or something like that. Other than that, it looks great.

mm, yes, I had trouble trying to decide what to make them out of, thanks for the advice.

Looks good except for the shoulder bits. One thing you could do is make them out of craft foam filled with batting, you can just use superglue for bonding the pieces together (it works pretty well with craft foam). I think craft foam would give you the texture/ stiffness you need without being too stiff. Great work though. :D

from the pic you sent, it seems like it should be more orange than red, and like the others said, the shoulder pieces look a bit off. but other than that, looks good.

wow! I am so impressed! I absolutely love it! It looks so crisp. To me it looks like what ryoko would have really worn. ^__^ Keep up the great work and I can't wait to see pics of u in costume! Nadesico rocks!! ^__~

Looks great. but the shoulder things screw it up... =/ I'd try making them out of something else, or redoing them so that they don't look like just tubes of fabric. Aside from that, it's not sucky at all!

Thanks for the comments guys, especially yours Pocky, your Yurika costume is awesome!
However I have already worn it and ran out of time to make improvements. If I ever wear it again, I'll definitly re-do the shouder things with everyones advice.
