So, I'm working on making a Kamina cape for my cosplay partner.
This is what I have so far: http://www.cosplay.com/photo/2749100/
I just cut up the bottom. Next, I hope to cut and stiffen the collar.

Although, my question is about the orange flames along the bottom border...
I have the fabric, and I'm planning on cutting the flames out and then into three pieces (like the cape is sewed into), then gluing them to the cape and sewing the pieces back together.
However, the orange fabric is a bit heavier than the cape's fabric, so I'd gander that glue isn't the best choice, but I'm not sure how the cape would handle sewing either.
I could go back and get thinner orange fabric, but I've pretty much reached the end of my budget as it is...

Tips or suggestions would be helpful at this point~
Please and thank you!!! ><

What is the material of the cape? personally, i would sew it on
you can always test the orange fabric on the scraps of cape you cut off to see if glue would be appropriate.
