So i'm not exactly sure what to do about them.

Manga: http://i714.photobucket.com/albums/ww145/spottedcherries/America_new.png
CD: http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/hetalia/images/7/78/Hetalia_America_CD.png
Anime: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_485YA3c9vf0/ShMkSnu3KPI/AAAAAAAAB3Y/hAD3dFURJhE/s400/hetalia-axis-powers-17.jpg

So it all seems like the frames are only on the bottom of his glasses... which always reminds me of grandpas. And historically that makes sense (as he starts wearing those in WW2 time, in which my grandpa also wore them... XDDD;; ).

But i usually see fanart draw them with frames on the top too. Since a lot of people assume they're meant to be around the entire glass, just the artist decided against it as it would obstruct his eyes a little bit.

I'm pretty sure i'll go with the bottom frames, just in case. But... where in the world can i buy some? D:

I saw some once at the airport, at one of those reading frames stands. But i had no money with me at the time ;o; And only $10, too... since then, i've been searching every store's reading glasses sections, to no avail.

Any websites i might be able to order some from?

I have perfect vision, so they don't need to be any particular power. I'll just look above them anyways, as i don't care how powerful they are or not XD

Hey man, don't get reading glasses. They'll give you headaches. Get you some of these:

Rimless! They also come in silver and gunmetal, which is really dark metallic.

I have their non-rimless glasses, which I couldn't find anywhere online right now when I just looked, but they're pretty good quality.

Something like those would be rather easy to make. My friend made a similar pair (though she had to point the bottom of hers) from just taking any thin-wire reading glasses. She removed the lenses, snipped the frame with wire cutters to take the top off, and used clear plastic as a replacement lens. They look really good (example (http://www.cosplay.com/photo/2691838/)). She made me a similar pair for my Cross costume, though I didn't use the fake lens.

Ya you're right they they are only on the bottom, some artists (hehe I'm guilty of this) either get lazy or are more comfortable drawing full glasses, hence why alot of fanart has him wearing full glasses.
They're also light gray, if that's causing any confusion.
I heard that either Icing or some store like that in malls sells fake glasses so you could give that a try.

This is what I'm doing. It's simple enough, and if you get really cheap pairs, pick up a few in case you mess up on one.

I'm going to attempt to do lenses if I can, but I won't sweat over it as his are not terribly obvious.

I'm perfectly fine with reading glasses, as America kinda has them far down on his nose, so i wouldn't really be looking out of them. And having stolen my mom's glasses a lot to look cool, i know exactly how to not hurt my eyes with them XD;;

But his glasses have bottom rims, not rimless. Hence why i asked for help. And sending me a link with the wrong glasses isn't really helpful ^^;; Sorry.

Hmm... i'm just afraid i'd screw it up epically. Since i'm not very crafty with these sorts of things (leave me to sewing and drawing, not wire cutting...). And being a perfectionist, even the slightest screw up on them would make me throw them out. So i'm really just hoping to buy a pair with the rims on the bottoms ^^;;

I thought they were a tan-ish color. Whoops. Time to go raid the references again XD;;

And i'll go check Icing and Claire's. So far, i've been searching pharmacies and such, since they have a lot of reading glasses.

I ended up finding the perfect glasses (black rather than grey rims, so i'll prolly paint em) at an Albertsons in the pharmacy section. Its an Albertsons frequented by old people... and lo and behold, it had the magical little glasses sitting there. I got the lowest power i could (1.50), and they don't bother my eyes at all. I just wear them on top of my head for now.

So i got em ^^ Thanks anyways for your help

Yeah, those are i think the exact ones i bought at the store XD; But that link is good for anyone else with this problem! c:

I kept the lenses in mine, and they don't really hurt my eyes. Due to them being reading glasses, though, i can see perfectly fine up to ten feet away, when everything gets blurry. My Britain cosplayer friend liked to tease me with that XD

Well, i have naturally green-blue eyes, so i don't care to get contacts for this cosplay XD Ya know, if i'm barely changing my eye color.

And i got emo shades from a festival that have fake lenses c: So they work wonderfully if i ever cosplay someone with emo glasses XD; I wore them sometimes to look pretty though
