Hi ^_^
I'm planning to make Resi 5 Jill's battlesuit for the London expo in May, but I'm having a few teething problems. The main one is struggling to decide what colour the main bulk of the costume is. Now, I'm loathe to put up reference pictures, since every picture seems different - it seems to vary between a blue and a purple. Is there actually a definitive colour that her costume is, or is it still up for discussion?
Here are some of the reference pictures I've been looking at:

Many thanks in advance ^_^

It's purple. You can tell by looking at the figurine you can unlock in-game. The lighting is static, and the suit is clearly purple.

I use to think it was purple then I got a friend of mine to rip her skin because I wasn't sure about the color when I thought about doing her RE5 outfit. Her color is always blue in the game, and it was blue when the stupid filters were removed. All the main/original characters have their given color, Chris= Green Wesker= Black Jill= Blue, Claire and Barry love Red. Leon hmmmm, either grey or dark blue <-----he's the only one that confuses me besides Rebecca, she sports the same outfit in two games....doesn't really count I guess....lol.
Minus Barry and Rebecca, any game other than RE Original that these characters show up in, they sport their colors. It's kind of lame, but hey some of us have our favorite colors.

Brad doesn't really count but I love it because he got Yellow, for Yellow bellied coward! Lmao!

Thank you both - why am I not surprised that I get equal numbers saying each colour? :P
Still, the thing of each character having a set colour does make sense... I'd never really noticed before.

I'd be worried less about the color, and more about all those little hexagons.

Truth be told, her Afterlife Battle Suit would be parsecs easier.

Artbook itself says blue, so that would be my bet.

Yes, when the filters are turned off, it's blue.

But in game - it's purple.

Brad! Brad was the yellow coward >.<. Richard was orange and a hero lol. Never really realised the significance of the yellow before haha.

I'd say it's purple. It looks purple most of the time in-game and in promo pics so that's what most people are familiar with. Of course, it's entirely up to you. You could even go for a purply-blue :P.

Easier, but the spandex battlesuits just look awful for the most part. You can put a lot of effort into a spandex battlesuit but nine times out of ten it will look like you cheaped out and put in a fraction of the effort that you did. The Afterlife battle suit looked kinda awful too if I'm being honest. I've only seen one well-done battle suit, and it was done in what looks to be some sort of pleather.

This! Spandex will make you look like that stripper jill that crops up on 4chan once or twice a week. Pleather is a good choice, a close friend of mine is using it. But can be an absolute bastard to work with.

The benefit to spandex is that you can move in it, unlike pleather, which is very restricting. I've been trying to find out where to get this fabric: http://en.item.rakuten.com/stay246/g7g5025/

To remake my friends Battlesuit. So far I've only seen products using the fabric, but haven't found where to get the fabric itself. I think it would look great, but it would need elasticized joints so as not to restrict movement.

Lol honest mistake. Yes I meant brad. Sorry richard! Lol. Brad one who was mouth raped by nemesis. =]

Nooooooooooooooo, her battle suit is not purple. =/ Her scenes in the game are blue, any screen shots taken from the game have her in blue. Jill's color is blue in any game she is in, why would this be any different, Leadmill said that the official artbook says her suit is blue. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=353486&page=202 Purple makes no sense, unless she planned on jumping into Tekken. Don't be fooled by that one Render that came out of her with her holding the two guns, the color has been messed with, it as well as her backside one, are the only ones that have a purple color to it.
