Hi guys.

I'm working my way through the song of Ice and Fire series of books. I was really captured by the image of Winterfell. The snow the other day was amazing, so me and a friend went out and snapped some pics. I give you my Knight of Winterfell.

I like the sparkly, bright look of the maille tunic a lot--can't see it well enough to tell if it's real maille or something that just looks like it on camera, but either way well done! Captures a fantasy ice feeling really well. Maybe you can use the same stuff for your hood so they match? It's a cool hood, but it's so...you know, real. :D

Got any plans for your legs/feet?

The Hauberk is riveted aluminium. It's as real as it's going to get without crushing me XD The coif (hood) is butted steel which I got for free.

I do have some leather and some plate greaves, but I had neither of them with me when we took these.

The helmet is made of card and is a good stand-in until I can afford a proper Great Helm

You did a great job on the helm. I wouldn't have guessed it was card at all.
