Not your average OP/ED skit. The anime/game dances you want to see surface as crowd behavior or in panels or a individual/group performance. THOSE dances! :D

I love Vocaloid and met Yukie Xizi Dong at this year's AX during her Vocaloid-themed dance panel and if you don't know who that is you need to go here (http://www.yukiedong.com/) right now or get off the Internet. She is an amazing adorable performer it's like magic. She has a great voice and figure and of course the brains to remember the songs and dance routines to make them look amazingly fun. The Cirno's Perfect Math Class (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=259SwWfnahc) dance not only made me realize how insanely difficult and fun it is trying to learn these dances over a few minutes but how horribly out of shape I really am. Because of this, I'm trying to learn song lyrics and the dances that go with them.

Caramelldansen: Annoying, simple and causes infectious crowd behavior. A guilty pleasure. Easy motion and requires little energy. It's everywhere. ;)

Cantarella: Slow, difficult, graceful, sweet and full of really creepy near-lustful Miku love! Yay! <3 I have the lyrics but just recently found the dance (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lY-DKfU5_hQ) for it. Doubt it's widely recognized but I plan on getting Kaito's phantom-like Cantarella costume and dance 100% before Sakuracon. I simply have to find a way to make this one work it's that hypnotic and amazing. If I can pair with a cute Miku that is comfortable learning this, it's going to be really fun and exciting.

Hare Hare Yukai: I rarely meet anyone that knows the entire routine (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4b6SSNuWkd0). This (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YL7AX_t6nPs&feature=fvw) group does a great job but I won't learn the lead part since my character is usually just supportive. Maybe Mikuru or Nagato's spot. I hope to have this one before AX if possible.

Love & Joy: Very slow intro, strong fast pace and very exciting with lots of energy. Don't believe me? See for yourself (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGs-ma9nYOM). Not sure if I have the patience though.

World is Mine: Awesome (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fH53N8xOT4o) in so many ways but requires heavy discipline from exotic/erotic dance.

Yaranaika: If you don't know what this is, you're not alive. I can't get this stupid song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q98oKuPw3-Q&feature=related) out of my head and I'm convinced this is the most amazing dance for Kaito. I have to learn this one. :D

I want to learn those but I'm currently focused on learning a simple striptease for a sexy cabaret style show during MEWcon and it's anything but simple to me since I'm a guy. I have to learn this if I'm going to have any hope of learning the above dances any easier. I have a few weeks to finish study but don't believe I'll have it 100% by New Year's. So many days of effort going into a dance that only lasts a few minutes...No wonder so many people mark dancing as a prelude to sex. -_-' Those dances are a lot more difficult than you would believe and they're really interesting so is anyone else actually learning these or are you all too tired and obese for anything but Caramelldansen? :D

I know the entire Hare Hare Yukai dance.

Along with 2 from the Haruhi Suzumiya dance game (which sadly i don't own ;_; )

I'm trying to learn the Love &Joy one so far I can only get about 2 minutes in before getting confused xD

I'd never seen the Yaranaika before but that looks fun :D I may have to learn that one so does the world is mine one xD..I wish Black rock shooter had a GOOD dance I'm not MMD (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8xmil0cdEU) one it's so stupid :(

Oh God that takes so much energy after 2:00. I could down a half-frozen Amp to stabilize and even that wouldn't be enough. Everything after 3:00 takes various DDR discipline which I do NOT have! I'll be impressed if anyone can do that song even at 75% speed.

I really am a fatty...x_X'

EDIT: Sigma, wtf?!

Yeah I only practice dances when i'm home alone so I have to practice like 5 in the span of an hour, I always do Love & Joy third and my arms get SO sore after a few minutes x_X I keep going but the last few minutes are just lazy xD

i know love&joy, HHY, cirno, carameldansen well =D
oh hey, try Bad Apple. It looks complicated, seriously @@ but when you know the steps thoroughly, you will find that the steps are actually uh..funny? I am currently mastering this dance too >w<

Other than Bad Apple, I am also practicing Saikyou Pare Parade and 飲み過ぎんなよ〜Yaaaahバババイ〜踊ったよ (sorry, I dont know how to read kanji ><). They are really fun =D

Korean dances are nice too. Eg: Sorry Sorry, Bonamana, Gee, Oh!, etc..

I would think that Yaranaika would come from this haha Balalaika

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dApxuCXCyWQ

A few things to learn would be Honey, Luka Luka Night Fever, Miku Miku ni Shite Ageru. Currently, I know Cirno's Perfect Math Class, HHY, Saikyou Pare Parade, Gee, Love & Joy, Balalaika, Miku Miku ni Shite Ageru, Honey, World is Mine, Greed's Accident, Carmelldansen (idolm@ster version), Kurutto Mawatte Ikkaiten (Vocaloid), Stardust Utopia, My Boy (Buono), Kiss Kiss Kiss (Buono), Honto no Jibun (Buono), Renai Rider (Buono), Gachinko do Ikou (Buono), Ike Ike, Night of Fire, Seikan Hikou, Motteke! Sailor Fuku, Balloons (DBSK), Rising Sun (DBSK) and a few other Korean dances. X3

Learning a few other Vocaloid dances too haha. I was so eager to learn the dances last year. Thinking of learning a bit of Prince of Tennis musical ones too X3

Oh no no, I have to be paired with another cute guy for a yaoi song and dance. :3
Kurutto Mawatte Ikkaiten
This is so old. It's a short and simple dance but I think I prefer it over Caramelldansen. :p

Hahahaha! My cosplay group and I just decided to do a vocaloid cosplay for our next con (in April), and we're currently learning Love&Joy to use.
We have a vague plan of learning as many anime and vocaloid dances as our new form of exercise XD

Well i definitely got Love and Joy down but I'm not even gonna lie it took a few weeks to get it tho lol

Hare Hare Yukai I know this as well, but i just need to make sure i practice it every so often so I wont mess up and I know Saikyou Pare Parade & Bouken Deshou? Deshou? thats on the video game (thanks You tube XD)...& I want to try and learn the Toroden dance but I think i'll hold off on that one its kinda hard

Caramelldensen was the first dance i learned so that beyond easy, unless u do the dance with some type of choreography but even then its not hard

O and I know chocolate disco by Perfume, not an anime dance but its fun to do

As for other vocaloid dances looks like I got some work to do cause I didn't know about the other dances until i can to this thread

Out of the ones you listed I only know Love & Joy, Caramelldansen, and Hare Hare Yukai xD. I don't really like project diva's dances much. Try putting Honey Honey on your list! It's a fun dance too :3

Generally, I hate Carmelldansen. I was at AX of 08 where that song was everywhere. Not even necessarily a good song either. I'd rather have people know the para para or idolm@ster one then just the same repetitive thing over and over again. Haha. To me it's kinda annoying.

All of the other Vocaloid enthusiasts are busy learning Bad Apple for some reason. I changed my dance routine for Yaranaika to reflect Balalaika (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7RkO7LZ-geU). The beginning arm movements are all that throw me off. I need the first part slown down or explained. x_X'

YOU KNOOOOOOOW I would've volunteered to be Cantarella Miku and taught you how to do a double pirouette into an axel had I seen this earlier. :P
I love this thread though, I looooove anime dances. Well this technically isn't anime but ya know.

Oh, learning these dances were not very difficult for me, but seeing as I'm a girl, I'm sure that doesn't count for much. I've learned loads of dances: Bad Apple!!, Hare Hare Yukai (full), Saikyou Pare Parade, Honey, Love and Joy, Sping Shower, Luka Luka Night Fever, Be Myself, Caramelldansen (the ParaPara), Chocolate Disco, Danjo, Discotheque, Fukkireta, Matryoshka, Heart Beats, Ievan Polkka, Kurutto Odotte, Luky Star...and the list goes on. It mostly just takes patience. I've been learning dances for around three years now, and it just gets easier with time. I can now learn dances in around two days. Practice is your best friend, and the more you learn, the more you should practice. You do begin to forget older ones with time. :)

Vocaloid dances, or just J-pop dances, are one of the things that I enjoy most~!
I have seen just about every dance out there, there's still 50+ on my 'to do list' @_@
I don't know exactly how many I know, but somewhere in the 20s or 30s. My favorites are Bad Apple, Hare Hare Yukai (Full, Who DOESN'T know this XD), Renai Circulation, and the BALALAIKA XDXD. I just saw the Yaranaika, it's adorable~! I never saw that version before, but I think I like the original version better just because I love the chorus, doing the kick thing :3
Lolz, similar to the above post, learning the dances were never hard for me, but maybe it's because I love doing it so much and have fun learning them, so I do the dances a lot XD
I normally dance about 30 min a day or so when I'm not learning them, and when I'm learning a new dance I usually dance for a hour or sometimes two.
Also, it definately depends on the dance on how long it takes to learn it. Something like Kurutto Mawatte Ikkaiten took me maybe 10 minutes to learn? XD. That's super simple though. Well, songs like Love & Joy or Kero Destiny take me 2 days or so. Now, songs like the Matryoshka (Rin & Len version) and Bad Apple took me like 5 days, maybe even a week, just cause they're a lot more complicated. I like the more difficult ones though, just because I think they're more fun to do, and it's a challenge. I love challenges~ :3
