The only reason I don't have a cat is because I couldn't take care of it.

 Kittens.

(Aside: How many families will get kittens for Xmas?)

Somebody post pictures of their kittens.

I live in an apartment with my mother. Who thinks animals of any kind except for turtles or rabbits is basically food. She does not understand the concept of "dog pets" or "cat pets", and the animals I mentioned are kept more like personal totems or good luck spirits instead of companionship. >_< I just want a cat. Any kind will do.

I have one kitty and my brother has two;

Mine is MooMoo (http://beyondswaraningyo.deviantart.com/gallery/26869293#/d30vr1b)

My brother's, who is actually my cat's brother as well is Fatso (http://beyondswaraningyo.deviantart.com/gallery/26869293#/d30yd56)

And his second one Tiger (http://beyondswaraningyo.deviantart.com/gallery/26869293#/d30vqqg)

There, pictures!

On a side note: DA, why do you have to have so many moving ads? My computer freezes whenever all of those activate at once.

MooMoo and Fatso are, but Tiger is a year younger from an entirely different litter. It's so awesome because my cat is the smallest, yet the feircest, Fatso is more like a really fluffy dog and Tiger... is a fat kitty XP

We have a kitten, named Vinny.
God he's such a bastard child, noming on cords, eating our food, and jumping in our Christmas tree! D:<
But he's so adorable....

He's a bit bigger now, but here is the kitten my family recently adopted (http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2010/285/8/f/umm_yes_by_supameowsy64-d30n1x9.jpg)...

He's sweet, but he's given me so many cuts and scratches. He's also a big problem at night... he needs to be kept away from our rabbit, and he's too rambuctious to be kept in anyone's bedroom (he'll jump into your bed, and just be in general, crazy.), so we've kept him in the hall, but he started to jump over his gate... he certainly isn't the same as when we first met him. XD

I've wanted a cat since I was really little but my mom and older brother are allergic. :/ I wish I was getting one for Christmas!
There's a lady who owns like ten cats who lives on my street, though, and one of them walks me down to my bus stop. It's the sweetest thing ever. <3

I want one sooo bad, but my parents hate little fluffballs that aren't dogs. :/Honestly, I don't understand dog love either. That's one thing I inherited from my mother apparently. I especially cannot stand the yappy little lap dogs. No, actually, I can't stand their pink, fluffy owners. The poor dogs are just ornaments to be worn around. >_< I've always thought doberman or rottweilers are gorgeous, perfect dogs. If I get a dog it'll be one of those breeds.
http://i565.photobucket.com/albums/ss99/Yukikittie/12202010069.jpg
^Here's a picture of him snuggling with my oldest kitty. That cute picture sure doesn't tell the entire story. That's one thing my mother likes to lecture me about whenever I stupidly open my mouth about wanting cats. They can be destructive.
He's a bit bigger now, but here is the kitten my family recently adopted (http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2010/285/8/f/umm_yes_by_supameowsy64-d30n1x9.jpg)... Haha, sounds just like a couple cats my friends own. They act all innocent when no one's watching then go nuts when out of sight.I've wanted a cat since I was really little but my mom and older brother are allergic. :/ I wish I was getting one for Christmas!
There's a lady who owns like ten cats who lives on my street, though, and one of them walks me down to my bus stop. It's the sweetest thing ever. <3How cute! I think half of my family is allergic too or else why would anyone have such a distinct hate of furry things?

There's a cat that's been hanging out at my work place and would follow anyone around hoping for food, I think. I know I shouldn't feed it so I don't but it's so friendly and will follow you into your car if you let it. It has a collar though. :/

Try having brand new carpet with two cats... You wanna see static discharging of doom? It's more like hell. I can't pet the two monsters w/o being shocked horribly and when I pull my hand away guess what I get instead of furr? I get carpet fibers!

The purrs keep making me want more despite the pain.

When I was born, my mom had a tabby named Timmy... he was 11 at the time, but I still remember him because he lived to be almost 20 years old... so I was 8 or 9 when his last kidney failed him :(
A year or so later we got 2 kittens, a tabby my younger brother wanted to call Timmy2, but it was a girl so we called it Tammy XP and an orange swirl male we named Baby... from the same litter... Baby got mommy's color and Tammy got daddy's XP
They are not... 11 or 12... fat cats they are XP and Tammy is a sweet little thing with a very... french... meow... is like "Perrrrrowww?" haha XP and baby is a whiny thing! It can be so cute unless its 2am and he's trying to get into my brothers room to sleep on his bed... and he loves to eat ribbon and plastic -_- Christmas is... hell with him sometimes...

I like our cats and dog, but I don't imagine I will have any when I have my own house. Allergies and such and my touch and go patience with them would get the better of me in the long run, but we adopted one of our two cats when he was just a kitten and he was a nightmare. He tore up furniture, wallpaper, whatever he could get his devilish paws on. Eventually he grew up, mellowed out, got fat and now is a lovely, lanky cat. It's very odd to imagine him being so destructive when he was little, since now he is scared of everything. My roommate ate a banana and placed the peel next to Ziggy [our cat] and he freaked out and darted out the cat door outside. Strange creature that one...

As a person whose name is Kitty, I wholeheartedly approve of kittens.

I do have three cats actually. They like to "help" me sew. My one cat enjoys rolling in suiting wool... it's his favorite.

But! She cured my severe cat allergies, so I love her to no end.

We have two elderly kitties (we call them "catteds") named Vic and Biscuit. They told me they were 8 years old already when I got them from the Humane Society. They are good catteds. Vic (who is black and white) is kind of shy and has a lot of allergies. Biscuit (the white catted featured with me in my Chikorita cosplay in my gallery). His job is to hold down the universe. He also keeps our dogs in line. And, he likes to sit on the stairs when I am sewing (my sewing table sets against the stairs) and try to grab at stuff as it feeds out of the foot. Catteds are good entertainment.

Kittens are possibly the most adorable and evil creatures that ever walked the face of the earth. I'm telling you, my kittens completely ignore you when you want to pet them, but once you don't they torture you. if they had opposable thumbs they'd rule the world. And we'd still love them.

The cat in space link is adorable! XD

Awesome of you to adopt older cats (it's funny how they consider 8 old, healthy ones live to their 20's these days). Kittens are great, but I much prefer living with the adults.

Dear Mom,

I want to confess that I secretly love cats. I always tell you that I hate them and that I'm allergic to them, but deep in my *fuwa fuwa* heart I do LOVE them. I love them cuddly wuvly wuvly wittle kitties. I hope you won't disown me for coming out the closet like this. But I still think Haley Berry's still the worst Catwoman ever.

I have... six kittehs. They all have their own VERY different personalities, which causes clashes between some of them. I'm closest to Noel and Su-Shi, who unfortunately don't get along terribly well. Noel taught Su-Shi how to growl and now uses it against her.

Noel is a munchkin: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v157/Curucar/IMG_0922.jpg
Su-Shi is a flame-point siamese that's getting more gingery each day: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v157/Curucar/IMG_8412.jpg

I have two kitties. They are adawwwable.

Charlie Anne is a short haired tuxedo colored cat, and is about five or six years old. She's an adorable rescue we got a couple years ago. She had about eight kittens in the snow before someone found her and brought her in, and sadly all of them died. D: She's so spoiled rotten and just thinks she owns everything. But, she's so sweet, so I guess the princess status is tolerable. xD
Our other cat is fluffy little all white Tiffany mix named Snowflake. He's about four (also a rescue: I was volunteering at the shelter when about 40 hoarder cats came in, and once he was weened we adopted him!) and a brat as well. Kiiinda on the dumb side. His hobby is repeatedly getting his head stuck between couch cushions. xD;

No, he only does it to suiting fabric.
Come to think of it, he doesn't quite care if it's wool or not, but if it's being used for a suit, he's all over it.

Since this is the off topic forum, i thought I would tell SOMEONE! My farm cat simba gave birth to two kittens yesterday. there would have been three but the poor thing was born dead )': there might be some pix depending if my funking camera will upload to my computer! >:( the are healthy and nursing well and simba herself is doing well for he first time. their colours are brown and white, and could possibly be calicos when they grow up. i am very happy because my house cat tazzi died and it is time for me to move on and with these kittens it is helping.

And also! Duckies! Got some meat and layer hens so some pics of those too?

oh snap they have hypoallergenic cats!! i just found out!

Also since this is off topic...
i usually adopt fully black disabled kittens. because black cats have it rough and disablity makes it rougher. I adopted a cat born with 3 legs (the fourth was a gimp) and when i went to bootcamp (cause i'm in the military) he got depressed and started looking for me. he got hit by a car crossing the street ;_; its been three years but i still cry (he was my baby!) i also recently adopted a black cat with one eye. The other eye was removed due to a tumor growing on it. But i recently had to give her to the SPCA because apparently its unhealthy to be around a cat when you're pregnant. so i send money for them to take care of her, until i can get her back.

lastly, has anyone seen that commercial that shows a cat coughing and weezing and it says that 2nd hand smoke causes asthma in cats. its so sad...

Where did you hear that? I've heard the argument that cleaning the litter box is unhealthy for pregnant women, but that's only if you do it with your bare hands and then put them in your mouth, which I'm sure you don't.
How is your local humane society able to guarantee they won't put your cat to sleep or adopt her out to someone else while you're away? As far as I know, once the cat is with them, it's their legal property and no longer yours.
