I finally got to scan the art out of the book I got one year for Christmas!

Now, I didn't scan the entire book, because the book has every color page from the manga up to the battle with Ryuukotsusei, and some of them just don't have anything important in them. However, there are a lot of action shots and stuff in the book, so if you really need to see a certain character from a certain angle I can try and find it in the book for you.

I scanned most of the character introduction pages (Blood Sword, I even got the page with Nobunaga xD) and a couple of the group shots, as well as all the black and white sketched concept art at the back of the book. I was kind of sad that Miroku didn't get his own color spread, because he comes in at the middle of the book and the color art is always at the beginning. I'm pretty sure he's introduced in the same novel as Kikyo's resurrection so Urasue stole all the color glory. I tried to include some color group shots with good pictures of him.

I uploaded all the scans to a public Photobucket album here. (http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v520/Aruri/Art%20Book/) All the scans were imported using Photoshop, so the resolution is good and the full size of the art is nice and big, so you should be able to zoom in well. You can get good looks at little details like the closeups of Sango's mask and stuff.

Feel free to use :skidude2:

tunesonatuesday: YOU ARE AMAZING! I am definitely grateful! Those are incredibly good quality scans and they are already very helpful. I love that there are the closeups of Sango's mask. Her mask is hardly if ever defined well anywhere and I want it to look good. I didn't realize there was the little flower shaped fasteners... gotta look into that... and very clear look at the embroidery. I laughed at the colored Sango page, cuz in the top corner she looks so short! (Which is what I'll look like in this cosplay. HAH)

Thank you thank you thank you! I'm gonna share this with my inuyasha group and I just know they are gonna flip too! :D

That drawing also sort of helps make sense of the chord and tassles. They're separate. There are also some detailed shots of Kagome's backpack which I got excited about.

Also, see what I mean when I said there's a texture screentoned over Miroku's kesa? I want to find a rough woven raw fabric like that to dye purple. I thought about muslin but it seemed very thin. I don't know the names of fabric types, I only really know to go the fabric store and touch everything until I find what I like. Do you have any suggestions?

hee! No problem :D

I got this book for Christmas years and years ago, and only just now realized how useful it is. InuYasha is a pretty old series, so it's hard to find screencaps and reference images and scans.

I just wish I could read Japanese, so I could understand all the little notes she has doodled on the concept art.
