A while ago I suggested to my boyfriend that he attend an upcoming cons rave/late night parties as Kamina with UV reactive paint for the markings that the character has. But seeing as we usually cosplay as pairs, it was then suggested that I cosplay as Anti Spiral Nia.

Sexy, no?

But the idea of the costumes being UV reactive have stuck, and I would really like to achieve this effect with Nias markings. I'm basically looking for suggestions on how to do this? UV paint would be the obvious way of doing it, but I'm worrying about how to apply it to the completed unitard/zentai etc and would it crack or fade? how would I seal it in?

any help or previous experiences with UV paint would be really helpful!

I don't know anything about UV paint, but that is a really cool idea! ^^ I think you might get better help if you post this in the Sewing/Fabric Craft forum, since a lot more people will see it there :'D

Some people have added (a lot) of EL Wire to make it glow, but that was mostly in broad daylight.
For UV reactive light, I think your best bet would be to go with the special fabric/paint.
