i have seen a boots thread for almost all characters except italy..
and those i need~ XD
Italy has brown boots with white "flaps" at the top..
those "flap'ish" things make me wonder..
how have other people done this..
did they just get brown boots and put white flaps at the top..
or did people make bootcovers?

Or you can just buy a pair of cheap boots and add those white flaps to it.
Hope it helps

Or what I did for my Switzerland cosplayer, is we made the flaps then safety pinned them to her boots. So she could take them off later and wear those boots normally.
Also, you can BUY the boots from Cosplay Fu if you want to. They're kind of expensive, though.

i think i'll go for bootcovers..
i was just wondering what others did, since i think it wont look good if you just add white flaps~

It looks just fine with my Switzerland friend. Next time she puts the flaps on, you want me to show you a picture?
I'm personally biased against Boot Covers, though. Just because they always look so unnatural to me XD;;

I was planning to make some boot covers for my Canada ones but never got around to it.
I'd say that's the best choice for it if you want the boots to still be versatile for other cosplays/general use/whatever.

I use rainboot liners with a normal pair of boots, and they work great! They are removable, and really warm~

For my the flaps on my Italy boots I actually sewed the flaps to some knee socks and flipped them over the top of the boots so that the flaps could be seen but the socks wouldn't. (if I tried attaching them directly to the boots I'm sure my mother would kill me!)

i think the socks would work even better, and it would be easier/cheaper..

Oooh I don't know why but when I answered this forever ago I should have given you links...
Those are the ones I use and they are cheap!
And then they look like this with boots.
Tah dah! Okay, now I can actually feel useful hahaa.
