Hey guys!
I'm going to be the '90s era blue and yellow Wolverine this year at Megacon, and I'm having some trouble figuring out how I should attach my claws to my gloves. I've already made 6 claws out of balsa wood, coated them in epoxy, and spray painted them silver, so they're a done deal. They are cut so that the base conforms to my knuckles when I make a fist. I just need some way to make them stay attached to some gloves nice and sturdy so I can walk around and make fists and pose and all that good stuff. I'm thinking something along the lines of attaching them to something under my gloves and then cutting slits in my gloves that the claws will protrude through, but that's just a general idea. I haven't worked out the details.
Any help or feedback will be very much appreciated!

thats a perfect idea. basically most wolverine costumers have wires that run in between the finger spaces where the claws fit, and have a little block or grip that they attach to. i'd say do this, and then maybe put it on the inside of the glove.

In my experience, anchoring the claws like a t-joint underneath the glove to something like hard foam works best. Your hands will be kind of useless, but there will be very little movement. Make sure that your balsa is super sturdy!
