She's not a commisioner but I bought an item from her on the cosplay.com marketplace and am not happy with her at all even if she did give me a partial refund of what I paid for her wig.

I know you have to be careful on there but I've bought plenty of things from the market place and never had a problem with any one so I didn't think twice about it. Mostly I don't worry because I pay through pay pal so if some one tries to scam me as long as I report them within the time line I can get my money back.

Any way, I digress.

I bought an orange wig from her, it was 35 dollars, atleast that's what she was asking. I only had 30 in my pay pal so I asked if that was okay and then when I got paid I'd give her the other 5. She said that was fine so I transfered the 30 to her pay pal. It was maybe over the weekend, Friday or Saturday so she said she'd mail it out to me Monday and I asked for a tracking number so I can track it and know that she mailed it out.

Supposedly the next week she mailed it on Monday, now I should have gotten it Wednesday or Thursday normally, atleast by Friday. But nothing. Even when I messaged her asking if she got a tracking number or if she sent it to my old pay pal address she never messaged me. Or it would take her nearly a week at a time just to message me back, not saying that I know if she's busy or what ever, but I mean it's not like you can't make the time to write some one a message in 5 minutes atleast.

I just got tired of waiting for the wig and really no answers regarding the tracking number or even sending it to my old address (I also called my old apartment asking if they had gotten a package with my old address on there and they said no, so she didn't sent it to that address) so I just said that if it doesn't show up by the Monday after that I just wanted my refund. And she offered a partial refund because she said that I had no proof that I didn't recieve the wig and that she would be out of money and the wig, but she didn't have any proof that she had sent it out either and I'm quite sure she didn't because it shouldn't have taken more then a week if some thing did actually happen to the package.

So I got 15 dollars back but I'm just upset because that wig was for a last minute cosplay and now I have to spend money to buy another wig that I'm going to just barely have enough time to order and recieve before my con that will be in exactly 8 days when I get my next pay check.

So if your thinking about buying any of her items, well I wouldn't do it. Even her ad was suspiciously gone as well when I went to look for it on the marketplace. If I ever get the wig then I can say it was just coincidental, but if I haven't gotten it by now I doubt I ever will/that it was ever actually sent out.

You could've gotten a full refund if you filed an item not received dispute with Paypal. Buyers automatically win cases if the seller cannot prove they shipped the item by providing a tracking number.

I had to do just that back in September when I bought a black Nintendo Wii from the marketplace for $120.00 and never received it. It wasn't until I filed a dispute with Paypal that the girl finally responded by escalating it, even though she had no proof the item was sent. So, I got all my money back after the response period expired on her end.

I have since approached the marketplace with caution. If it sounds too good to be true, chances are, it probably is.

I was planning on it if she didn't give me a refund. I suppose I still could since it hasn't been 40 days yet.

Haha, well I tried and it won't let me because I sent the money as a gift so I don't have to pay the extra pay pal fees. Oh well.

Sending the funds as a gift keeps the recipient of the money from having to pay Paypal fees actually. The person sending the money does not have to pay Paypal fees if the funds are coming straight from their Paypal balance.

You also have 45 days to file a dispute if the item is not received or not as described, but you do have to wait at least 7 days from the day you sent the money before you can file a dispute.

It is true that you cannot do this if you sent the money as a gift, because that is telling Paypal that you are not paying for an item but are instead giving the money to the recipient as a gift. So, they will treat it as such.

Yeah, I kinda screwed myself there. I coulda filed a dispute if I hadn't sent it as a gift.
