So I am going to be doing this for my first cosplay and I've been hunting around and cannot find a decent pattern for Stein's short sleeve turtleneck sweater.
Also, how does one go about getting the different coloured parts on the sweater?

I don't know if this helps but I also plan on complying as Stein and my plan is to buy a turtleneck and black (I'm going as the manga version) t-shirt and them cutting them and sewing them together, I just need to find a turtleneck

I made Stein's sweater for my friend's cosplay (the manga version). I took 2 turtlenecks, cut the pieces I needed and sewed them together, and then used black yarn for the stitching. I left off the stitching on the sleeves though, cause he never took off his jacket so he didn't need them.

Was your turtleneck small jersey knit or giant yarn knit? I can't see how one can sew together giant yarn knit sweaters :( Which is really what I want to do, but it's impossible.

Small jersey knit.. I don't actually think it's possible to take giant yarn knit turtlenecks & cutting them up & sewing the pieces together.. You'd have to knit an entire sweater I think to make his turtleneck out of giant yarn knit..
