I was wondering if anyone would be interested in being one of the Battle Royale characters so we could form a group...?
I'm thirteen. Mom doesn't want to go, so she said if I got in a cosplay group I'd be fine. ^^;;

Hey!

I will be doing a BR cosplay also!! I was going as Chigusa & my BF is going as Kiryama. If we fit in, let me know!

I might join, but it depends on what I go as. I have my Schwarz Bruder Outfit, but I am trying to build an Evangelion Unit-03 Suit. Or if I run out of time, A Shishio outfit and get myself a Yuma and any Juppangatona cos-players out there

Oh... BR would be fun! Depending on my funds, you might get me and three of my brothers. hehe

I'm sure they'd love to do it... It just requires $$...

Eh, whenever you find out about it, let me know. By the way, I will allow doubles. If someone doesn't want a double of the person they're doing, you'll have to say so.

The list so far:
[Miroku-chan] Satomi
[Luna] Chigusa
[Venus] Chigusa
[Venus's boyfriend] Kiriyama
And... everyone else is undecided. o.o;
We need to figure out what the best day is. Luna can do it on Friday night, but as I said, that could propose a problem. Venus, I need to know what day you're able to.

Friday is ok with me, I would just have to know the time since I'm staff(security/masquerade), I'll be working most of the con, but I'll be in cosplay.

Sure! I'll be there as Noriko! I was planning to do a BR costume anyway, so perfect timing! I'm usually at cons on Satuday, but Friday I can manage.

Okay. I was thinking... would Saturday night be all right for all? See, I know that the masquerade is on Saturday night and it would be great if we could all go to the masquerade together and then hang out afterwards until we head our seperate directions. ^^() It would be great arranging a time for all of us to meet on AOL or something.

All fine with me! Hey, if we get 2 more people, well get a 5% discount on registering!

*wakes up topic*

although I haven't got my costume together yet, my brothers and I have been discussing it.
We thought it might be fun if on Saturday, the BR cosplayers met in the morning, and everyone got 2-3 stickers (specific ones, may be a small fee to cover the cost, but porbably not more than $2). Then at noon, we'd start a game.
Everyone would wander the con as normal, but when they saw another BR cosplayer (that was participating), they'd have to put a sticker on them before the other got them with a sticker. When you tag someone with a sticker, they're dead and you take their stickers and can continue on your day.
Then everyone could meet at a certain time, and those still alive would have 5 minutes to kill each other off.
Then we can all go to the mascarade together!

If people are interested (and enough of them) we can get that organised... We'd need at least 10 who are willing to participate all day. As I said, you'd attend the con as normal, so you're not ruining your con day by running around looking for people... but when you happen to find them... ^_^

Also... I don't know what character I'm going to be yet. I may crossplay, in which case it's best to say I'm a generic student... One that still needs to make my costume. =\

This sounds like a great idea! I would recommend that you check with the ACen heads to make sure that this type of thing won't interfer with the going's on. (You might want to post this at the Official ACen boards, www.acen.org/forums)

What type of stickers were you going to use?? I have seen like "splatter" ones before, but they were for cars(?)

And are we all thinking about doing a "BR group" for the masquerade? I'm going to be staff for then & for security so I would need a heads up on this, so I can get my schedule straight.

For me, I'd prefer an evening/night gathering, perhaps for the masq, for Battle Royale. This is only because I plan on doing a different, more elaborate group during the day and for whatever cosplay.com/acen boards/whatever shoots that might be held...and I personally would rather wear the costume I favor most and spent more time on then anything else ^_^

However, I wouldn't mind wearing Takako for the masq and through the night, because by then my feet will be in enough pain that I'll have to switch to tennis shoes.

Anyways, that's just convenience for me. anyone else have conflicts?

Ah, if you don't mind, Julia-san, I'd like to participate all day with the Battle Royale group... we can meet with you before the masquerade. How does that sound? ^^()
Oh, by the way, it would be better if someone was in charge of the group (me? Haha) went and got a big pad of post-it notes and wrote "DEAD" on each of the pages. That way, when someone stuck one on someone else's back or whatever, it would be noticeable and cheaper than stickers. How does that sound?

Well, erm, if you guys are already going to have people in characters and whatnot...I'd rather not intrude or make duplicates or something, interfering with the game. So...should I just drop out? I'm guessing it might be a good idea.

Souma Mitsuko
12-03-2003, 11:05 PM
If you ABSOLUTELY want to drop out you can, but I'd like to have you in our group. Plus, I was really looking forward to meeting you and stuff... maybe we *can* meet in the masquerade? I'll be the tallest Battle Royale person. XD
Um, but anyway... yeah, you can still hang out with us, but you can drop out if you want. Any of you can drop out if you want, even though it would really suck for any of you to leave.

I suppose that could work. For me, I'll probably be exhausted of my boots and the vinyl anyways. But if there is a LARP this year (Live Action Role Playing), I'll most likely have to participate in that. Still though, if you guys are interested in doing a walk-on Masq pose or something, I think I could do something like that. I'm already working on repairing (well, more replacing) my BR tie as well as styling one of my black wigs Takako-style. I want it to be my best BR cosplay yet ^^;

Well, if you're worried about dupi's, There will be 2 Chigusa's (Me and 1 other). I would rather do a day, but if it's in the evening, have it before the Masquerade. I won't have time to get to it, since I'll be working it.

Souma Mitsuko
12-05-2003, 02:46 PM
*clings to Venus* It's okay, you can work the masquerade, and our group can still go, you'll just be excluded if that's okay...? I hope it will be. XD;;
We can tour the con before and after the masquerade though, right? ^^()
Rargh... I hope Kirby Morrow's one of the Saturday guests. >> << >> <<

Natsume

Yeah, would have to check with Acen to see if something like that would be okay...

But we can't really do just big pieces of paper (well we could), because then people would have an unlimited supply (or almost) of killing-ness. If we go with specific stickers (large ones), then they can't kill anyone if they were silly enough to leave them somewhere.
I could actually print large stickers that say DEAD if people would send money in advance. They could be bumper-sticker size... Would be pretty noticable.

However, since I don't have my costume OR tickets yet (I'm asking for tickets for Christmas), I don't want to really organise this until I'm sure I'm going as a BR student.
If someone else does want to organise it, I have no problem, otherwise I'll pick it up when I have time (I have finals soon), and hope college isn't evil next semester so I can get it all sorted out.

Kirby Morrow... OMG I luff him. <3

Sounds fun! And doing a masquerade walk-on would be nice too; it'd be my first experience!

Just one small thing for the group:

ACEN just posted their masquerade rules. If we're still interested in doing a BR group onstage, it's a good idea to take a look at them. They only have 75 online pre-regs, and it opens January 1st. Since I have time off of school then, sending in my ACEN pre-reg as well as the masquerade pre-reg isn't really an issue. But I have a few questions

1. are we doing a walk on or a skit? and if there's a skit, do you guys have any ideas for one?

2. The limit to groups, I think, is 8. So will we need to limit our group size or what?

blah. you can see how much I'm concentrating on final exams this week. >DDD

12-12-2003, 03:16 PM
This would be soooo much easier, and seeing I will be Stage Manager(just got the word yesterday), this would be much easier on my part too.

If we do a skit, it would be at the end of the masquerade, since they would rather have large groups towards the end of the show. But hey, I can go either way....

Natsume
12-16-2003, 12:16 PM
If we need to limit the group, I know *for sure* my three brothers will *not* be participating.

I think a skit would be fun... Nothing elaborate, but maybe something funny... We need some crappy weapons to try and kill each other with or something... Like a rubber duck vs. a plastic spoon.
My weapon of choice is a spork.

As a random question because I don't want to start a whole topic about it up in another forum, what did you all use to make the neckband thingies?

And besides for my brothers, is it looking like we're going to have any other guys in the group? Because that will help determine if I crossplay or not... Since if we do the masquerade and my brothers *won't* attend, we should at least have one guy...

Souma Mitsuko
12-17-2003, 07:25 PM
Ooh, if we're going to do a skit... that would be so fun. XD
I'd use one of my plushies as a weapon. Then we'd agree that they gave us sucky weapons and we give up and walk off the stage or something. I don't know. We need to all meet on AIM sometime. Let's try and set a time in this topic. XD

Hi Hi All!!

Just poking my head in to see how goes the group's plans. Sadly, due to lack of funds, my BF won't be able to be Kirayama. :bigcry:

Has anyone thought of the script for the skit?? Or are we doing a walk-on? Just wanted to know!

I might as well go ahead and say this now, since I just found out and decided today.

Mainly due to school and funds, I'm choosing not to attend ACen 2004. Besides the above I'm having issues with how ACen's run as well as some of the rules, as well as the fact that I didn't really have a lot of fun last year. So, with the choice to pick between Anime Central and Otakon, I chose Otakon.

Sorry to whoever this lets down, but since there are many Chigusa's, I'm sure this won't really be a problem.

Sorry again!

Wow... more unfortunate news... I might not be able to attend for the group, or maybe not even ACen (!) this year. I'm having some family difficulties right now so I might not be able to get my costume done in time, and I'm already making plans for AX because I have to get some long distance traveling and I have to get a costume done in less than 2 weeks for me to be in time for my cuzes and all that. But I'm keeping my hopes up high so I can attend both.

Okay, things are really beginning to push it. Now that Miyavi's coming (HE'S SO HOT!) I'm thinking about pulling off a Miyavi costume as well-- ya know, as I'm standing there waiting for his autograph I'll be dressed as him expecting him to say, "HOLY S%#@!! IT'S ME!!!"

I just got to see BR last week, I'm waiting on the 2nd one.
I'd love to do cosplay but it's too close to the con to start now and I don't know who specifically I'd do. Maybe Reactor or next year.

>>>>>...Come to think of it, Souma Mitsuko hasn't been on for a while.... she gave me her personal info, so I'll K.I.T. with her and see what's up.>>>>>

I edited this post to say that I am very sorry, but I'm going to have to drop this group. I lost Paige(Souma Mitsuko)'s contact number, so I can't ask her why she hasn't been on the forums lately. She hasn't made notice of the group in a while as well. I don't direct this group so I can't plan everything and take her place. It's too close to ACen for me to have enough time to plan everything out. As I've said, I'm dropping this group and I SINCERELY apologize. I'm dropping my costume plans for Noriko (saving it for another time) and starting another constuction as Chii from Chobits, working alone.
