So, for Montréal Comic Con in September my friends and I are putting together a group to cosplay Reboot (we just have AndrAIa, Hexadecimal, and Mouse). But I am at a complete loss for doing AndrAIa except for the wig and makeup.

For the wig I already know how I'll style the bangs and everything, and I have a basic idea as to how I'll get the starfish to stay in the wig.

When it comes to her bracers/bracelets, I'm not sure how I'd do them. At all. Same goes for making the fins.

Pants, the bigger issue for them is the material. Which also applies to the top - which I also have no idea what kind of pattern I'd use to make it.

Boots... also an issue ^^;

Oh sweet! A Reboot group coming to Montreal Comic Con?! I loooooove Reboot and I go to the comic con every year since we live near there. I hope I get to see you guys!
and lol that's quite a few problems. I'd suggest looking at the numerous AndrAIa cosplayers on here. Just use the search bar and ask all those cosplayers as many questions as you can. You'd be surprised with how many answers you can get :)
I personally took a look and found this girl who was using sheer fabric hotglued to a tie-wrap skeleton for the fins: http://www.cosplay.com/photo/2673119/
and she also made the bracelets from model magic: http://www.cosplay.com/photo/2673093/
Good Luck!

I really wanted to cosplay Hexadecimal! But I couldn't get a full group together in my area, and now money and time constraints make it hard.

Do you also go to Otakuthon? My friends and I will be going to that as well. My friend whose being Hexadecimal will be giving the costume a test-run there. I won't be wearing AndrAIa to it. I have my costumes for Otakuthon in my signature.
And thank you for the suggestion! I shall definitely be asking around for ideas. - I think my biggest issue is the top -

Yeah I do go to Otakuthon aswell. I'll be sure to check out your costumes for Otakuthon. I actually have some pictures in my gallery for my own costume that I wore to last year's Otakuthon. Seriously? She'll be testing out Hex at Otakuthon? I hope I see her!

Alphanumeric cosplay idea!

Back when I considered doing adult andraia, I was going to go with the shiny leggings from American Apparel that have a fish scale quality to them. Maybe poke around (or better yet call) a few stores to see if you can find some?
