Why hello all, well I just got done literallly watching about 6 or 7 interviews done at the san diego comicon. Due to some financial troubles I couldnt go this year, but I will 95% sure go to the next year one. I was trying to think of cosplays I haven't seen or done before and Mr X from RE2 is just one I seriously cant seem to find any pictures of. With me being 6'4 and 300 pounds, I think the cosplay would suit me just fine. I think I have a good grasp on what I need. I am kinda ashamed to admit that a lot of what I need can be easily bought but I am still looking for opinions on a few things.

On the first note if ya just cant remember who MR X is he's this lovley hunk of a virus

So I have the leather gloves, the boots. Seeing as how I couldnt find any white out lenses for the eyes, I was thinking I could use these as the contacts http://www.coastalcontacts.com/special-effects-lenses/white-out/prod97160.html . So I suppose currently. I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how I could get the metal braces on the wrist and gloves, the jacket, and also the small button like restraints at the shoulders.

They do have whote out lenses i can put the link if you like, but they make you blind, it would be worth it if you were doing a photoshoot. The metal parts you can easily replicate using craft foam and gesso or modge podge as a sealer so you can paint them.

Mode podge? Hmmmm I never heard of that but its defintally worth a glance. And yeah the whiteout lenses are good but nlwhen I do go I plan to wear my costume most the day. Would be quite a pain to put them in everytime I get stopped for a photo op.

You might also consider using foam-padded PVC pipe for the glove rings, just pick out a size that fits over your gloved hand with a bit of room for the padding. You could detail it pretty easily from there.

The jacket restraint things could probably be put together out of almost anything, from bolts and washers to something sculpted. If you have a plumbing supply store nearby, give them a visit. You can find some really strange stuff that is perfect for cosplay, especially if what you are looking for is metallic or machinelike in any way. But it looks like you could even make those out of soda bottle caps with something slightly wider as a base.
