So my friend has a six year old son and she wants me to make a guest appearance at his super hero party, as Rogue.. Scary, to say the least; the last party he went to had a friggen kangaroo as the guest so I need to do something awesome!
Also, these kids are more than likely not going to know this version of rogue :S At least I'm bright coloured and superhero-ish right?
Any help/advice is much appreciated!

ps this is the costume for anyone who doesn't know what it is http://www.cosplay.com/costume/329106/

Get a friend to come as a villain part way through and threaten to ruin the party by stealing the cake, or presents, or both! Then "save the day" with a choreographed little fight ending with something cliche'd villain/hero ending. "You haven't seen the last of me" etc.

It'll take a bit of work, but it'll definitely stand out for a long time in the kid's memory.

Agreed with above, make sure it's a recognizable villain from the show though. I remember my uncle dressed up as a power ranger for my cousins birthday. He jumped off the roof.

Organize a little show, with villians and heroes, and have them make friends, introduce themselves, etc.

Also, involve the kids in your show! Give them a part...like chanting or clapping their hands or doing a secret symbol or sound to help fight off the villain. Kids want to be involved in the action, so find a way to include them -- maybe a special part like a "sidekick" for the birthday boy. Even if it doesn't fit specifically with X-men or Rouge, I still think it will be a big hit and thoroughly enjoyed. Kids also like to make things or play games with these "guests," so maybe you can make superhero masks with them or play some superhero games to celebrate the victory win over the villain. Just a thought! :)

lmao!! That's awesome!!

But I just wanted to say thanks to everyone! I managed to rope in a friend but she didn't want to be a villain so we were just two superheroes.. We made the theme kind of like "How to become a superhero" and we had them make masks to hide their identity, superhero bages to have their own superhero name and power, we played an "X-Ray" vision game where they had to be blindfolded to see if they could guess what they were touching, and other things too.. all in all, make sure you have LOTS of games lined up because kids can get distracted pretty easily!
