hey, all~
Everyone knows who L. Lawliet is, right?

i've had my L. Lawliet wig for a few months now.. My commissioner is starting on it this month, and she's never done a cosplay wig before, so i have to help her out.
this is the wig, taken right out of the package:

I'm not going for the rock-hard-impale-you-spikes look, i want to do more of a natural look for L. Here's kinda what I mean --

So, what products/techniques/tutorials do you reccomend?
Any advice & direction is gladly welcomed, as I have never had to wear a wig for cosplay before.
thank you!

Tutorial 1 (http://www.cosplay.com/showthread.php?t=126502)

This has a small section on natural fluffy spikes, its not detailed but will help with ur search on natural spikes. It would of also helped if your base wig was similar to the style your going for. But since its not it seems you just trim to what you want your spikes to be and comb the way you want and apply some light spiking glue/wig hairspray and dry it with hair dryer. Though I may not of been any help your best bet is to look around on different sites and find what is easiest for you, or ask your local hair cutting place what the easiest way is to do it (with the exception that you will need wig products, as we all should know that gel doesn't work on a wig).
