I keep hearing about how BAAF 04 might not happen because their major sponsor dropped them.

I just got an idea while watching the mtv video game count down. Apparently mtv has some interest in the geeks of America and cosplayers. Maybe they'd be interested in NYC's only anime con.

Maybe if we got one giant list of every one supporting baaf they might help. I know its a bit of a long shot but if every one bands together it might just work.^^

That clip from MTV's Ultimate Video Game Countdown was taken at
AnimeNext 2003 in Rye NY. AnimeNext 2004 will be held June 18-20
in Secaucus, NJ just 5 miles (!) away from the Marriott Marquis across
the Hudson River. BAAF ain't the only game in town.

I'm aware that BAAF isnt the only con in NY but it is the only con in nyc.
Not to mention it is close to the mtv studio. Like I said b4, it my be a long shot but who knows what'll happen if we all band together.

MTV makes fun of cosplayers.... they are a program made for the majority of American teenagers (this excludes old men who cross play (nothing against them though)).... This majority of MTV teenage viewers usually dislike anime, make fun of others and belive they are better than all (this is from a nerd's perspective)

I rather have tons of wall scrolls than have a room covered in Brittany Spears posters ^_^ (yeah that made no sense)

animeandska is right. i highly doubt mtv would ever want to do this. they only follow trends and going to a anime convention is not really a popular one lol. if you plan to do music id try much cause there nicer, at least when iv talked to them :) http://fuse.tv/content/audition/php/audition_form.php
hehe if you want you can go on tv and like i said b4 in costumes theyd def pay you more attention and ask you sum questions on air. but youd have a better chance asking a company that may beifit from having a convention. someone that targets conventionies. hehe just some of my ideas :)
