Alright. So I'm looking to cosplay Yoko for A-Kon 23 in June, and I need some help finding some of her outfit parts. I've already got the bikini (top and bottom), scarf, hair clip, glasses, thigh-his, and belt. What I need help finding is some gloves and the sleeve, boots, and a suitable wig. I'm not good with wig styling, so a two-part wig would be preferable.

It's been a while since I last saw Gurren Lagann, but let's see...

She basically has half-finger gloves, one of which is longer, right? Normally, I find that Hot Topic (the store itself, or ordering from it online) has a large variety of half-finger gloves of varying lengths. They're usually black, so it should suit the color just fine.

I'm afraid I don't know what you can do about boots, but...I hear some people like to make boot covers? So, if you can't find any that fits Yoko's, you could try that?

As for wigs...perhaps you can find one already pre-styled into a pony-tail/two-part on ebay?

Hope I helped, and good luck with it! c:

If you buy knee high socks (say from Walmart) and cut the end off (measure so it works for your hand, then sew it so you have the finger holes. Use the heel area for the thumb hole, and add the bling. I'm not good at all at describing things but my mom did this when she was helping out my sister with her Nice Holystone (Baccano!) cosplay and it turned out perfect. It's what I'm planning on doing why I cosplay Yoko in a few years.

I agree with finding a pre-styled wig as well, I think styling one into a ponytail would be too difficult. Ebay has a decent selection, also if you need boots check there as well. Otherwise try making boot covers, as hers are a pretty basic pattern.

The boots are what's giving me grief right now. I'm planning on cutting them up and painting them(or something along those lines), but I still can't find a style I like with the right heel. I've been all over ebay, and can barely find anything in my size let alone in a good style. I'm about to make a weekend of yard sale-ing and thrift store hunting see if I can find something that surprises me. I'm pretty crafty, and handy with a sewing machine but let's face it you can't just make shoes...any ideas?
