Hello... I was thinking of doing a cosplay of Chang from King of Fighters, and I have a serious doubt in how to make the ball he uses... Can some one indicate me materials that can be used on both the ball and chains.

So resuming, I need a prop that;
1- Is light
2- No brand materials that only exist in the US (I'm in Portugal...)
3- Can't make harm to persons (Although hitting on glompers with this ball would rock :bigtu: )

For those that don't know Chang, here's a pic of him:

you might be able to find a plastic prop one at a costume shop. Try looking there.

if not, you could find one of those large blue inflatable fitness balls (not a medicine ball) and paint it black and somehow attach a plastic chain to it :)

You can buy a big plastic ball in a toyshop, add plastic chains to it end paint everything black. ;)

Odd suggestion but if you want the chain to be super light and also have those square links relatively that size you can check at an auto parts store for rubber gaskets. Just bring a picture and show them what you are looking for and ask for ones that look that shape and size. Depending on the type gaskets it might cost a bit but I'm sure if you check around you can find some for a total cost of under $20. Other thing is they might not have the required amount in stock and would have to order them. Just cut them, link them and close with a bit of epoxy. Also would not have to paint the chain and worry about it rubbing off between the links.
