I am a student going to school for photography. I also love cons so here i am doing cosplay photography. This was my first time going around taken some shoots and using what i have learned so far. Please let me know what you think what i need to work on everything will be helpful :)

Close-ups are good, when you make a portrait close-up. Don't do this in landscape. The third picture with the girl who's laughing. Fun candid shot for your personal collection but not a great photograph. The last few pictures are rather fuzzy and dark.

Try looking at your background or remove your background by closing in and using a large aperture. Have fun shooting!

In the first few, I would say the thing that caught my eye the most was that the subject is very low in the image. It almost looks as if they're sinking. If you're going to shoot a wide photograph to catch the surroundings like in the first one, make sure that the height of the subject is also aligned.

Instead of having he face dead center and having a lot of open space above her, have only a small amount of above her. You probably could have taken that shot down to her waist, showing her hand and more of her outfit.

I Think you have a great start but your backgrounds are a little busy, I know a lot of these are random grab shots but keep in mind how a crowd or the sun might affect your shots of the characters/ costumes :)
