I'm working on this costume for Ohayocon 2004! Only a week left, but I think I should be done quickly. ^^
Anyway here are some progress pictures: clickie (http://images.cosplay.com/showgallery.php?cat=6611&ppuser=539)
Let me know what you think of it sofar! I'll hopefully have some completed pictures before the con. =)

Looks great too me ^_~
Denisse, the purpose of this forum is constructive critisism. Please leave friendly compliments and short posts without the above listed purpose of the forum in the member galleries.
Bobbie, is there anyway you can get someone to take a picture of you in the costume? That way we can tell how well it fits you, which is often over looked. Details and accuracy is great, but does it fit you?

Well it hasn't been put together yet. Hopefully tonight or early tomorrow. ^^ Then I can get a picture of me in it. But sofar from pinning, it fits just right (form fitting but not too snug)
The details are really great!!!
I'm assuming that all parts of the outfit are not pictured as it's not complete, cause I thought it had a hood too? I also just pulled up a picture of the outfit, and on the bottoms of the dress that goes over the skirt, there is a purple outlining. It's also on the cuffs, and where the sleeves connect to the main body of the dress but I see you used a blue instead. Will a matching blue be where the purple outlines the bottom of the dress that goes over the skirt? That might sound kinda confusing lol >_<
But really, all those details are so nice looking!

It looked to me (various screenshots and from watching the transformation sequences over and over) that it was more of a blue color.
The hood still has to be made. I had to assemble the main body of the dress first before adding the hood. The front of the dress is longer than the back, and the skirt is shorter in the front than in the back. I'm trimming the back down once I have the sleeves and sides sewn. Then I'm adding the trim to the sides.
There's still a lot of work that needs to be done. Hopefully I can have everything together soon. =)

There's completed pictures up now. =) I'll have even more after ohayocon. =)
I really shouldn't have used shiny fabric. It looks fine in person, but on camera it looks terrible. I'll have to see after this weekend.

it looks pretty good, it fits you properly, not too snug not too lose just like it does on yuna.
I'd have to see the back of your costume to see if you got the back right as well as the hood but here's where I see it could use a little improvement:
I think the sleeves should be a little wider at the wrists as well as being purple but it's not too bad as blue since you went with everything being blue ^_^
The dresses should be a tad longer, it looks like it goes below her knee so you don't see the tops of her boots, the long part in the back is perfect length but in the front just a tad longer.
The moons on the hood should be fat in the center then thin towards the edge like how sailor moon's moon's are and the like
Oh yeah the earring goes on the right ear too.
Other than that it's done well i like how the designs on the sleeves came out as well as the designs on the red thingie and the circle design that goes across the top.

I think maybe some of the colours you used were a tad too bright, and I could be having memory issues (not trying to be snide or anything, I very well might be XD), but isn't the thingy in the front (you took a few individual pics of it so hopefully you know what I mean) a tad less wide on top? And you already covered the skirt thing... Also, like Miaka said, I think it should be a bit longer.
Other than what I (and others) have said, I think you did a great job :D I'm working on the same costume, and looking at your pictures gave me a few ideas of some things I can do. **bow** Domo arigato! <3

You know when i first glanced at this thread it startled me. lol. I'm currently working on the same outfit and my name is Bobbi too! hehe... anyway...
I think you did a wonderful job. I wouldn't be able to say anything helpful that hasn't already been said *hides in corner* but I do agree that maybe satin wasn't the best thing... Though it probably looks lovely in person, but doesn't come across too well in the pics ^_~ which you already knew ah well. Very nice!

With the hood... my aunt insisted on making it. She loves making costumes and she wanted to help out in some way... so she made the hood. It was really innacurate, so I didn't even bother putting the circle design on it. I'm going to remake it. I just didn't want to hurt her feelings and not wear it for the con I made it for. =P
Another thing about the fabric I used, it snags... very very easily. I got it stuck on velcro that's on my bag I carry with me at cons. It snagged the bottom part of the dress horribly. =/ Bad fabric choice. But hey, it's the experience that counts, right?

Okay as I am looking at the loverly artbook both the one that came with the special edition guide and the one I purchased seperatly....
The color varies from a dark blue to a dark purple depending on where you are looking, artbook, guide, in game....so I can't tell you that it is wrong....
One thing I do see is there are three pleats in the front...the skirt needs to be a tad longer...you have the rest of the coloring right
The "moons" on the hood need to be a little thicker in the curve at the bottom...to make them look more like a crescent moon.
Other than that...I think it came out great in person and in the pictures.
