View Full Version : Belle's Peasant Costume

I finally finished with my Belle ball gown (YAY!) and I'll behaving a Disney themed Birthday party in May (again, YAY!) but I've decided not to wear the ball gown for the entire party (I would probably cry if someone had a "party foul" on my $300 ball gown) So I want to (preferably buy) Belle's peasant dress, problem is all the one's I've found are $100 or more, and I just can't afford that right now, and honestly I think that's a bit much for such a simple cosplay. So here are my questions:

1. Does anyone know where I can buy a cheap Peasant Bell costume? (I don't mind if it's one of the cheap manufactured costumes, doesn't need to be hand made)

2. If not, What would be the simplest/cheapest way to make one?

Thanks a bunch!

Actually, $100 for that is a really good price. You aren't going to find anything cheaper as they don't manufacture Belle's blue dress. Probably at least $40 of that $100 for the dress is going towards supplies. If you want you could always contact the seller and see if they could make it with cheaper fabric (say broadcloth for example).

As for making it, you can buy a simple white shirt for underneath, then make or buy a blue jumper (they have patterns that are perfect in Simplicity), and a white apron. Its very simple, but if you don't have the time to make it try asking the lady. $100 is pretty good if you like how it looks.
