Hey guys, I figured you all should be experts at this.

So I'm making a Batgirl (Cassandra Cain) cosplay, and I have my Batfamily emblem done, but I don't know how I should bond it to the suit. The suit is made out of a stretchy lycra material, but the emblem doesn't give much stretch because it's lined with vinyl. What would be the best way to glue is to the suit? Fabric glue? Superglue?

Here's my current progress (holding up the emblem)

Whatever kind of glue your use, be sure to stretch the lycra suit over a body form or mannequin of some kind BEFORE attaching the emblem.

You want to do this because if you just glue it on unstretched, the vinyl of the emblem won't stretch with the lycra suit when you put it on. In essence, you want to glue the emblem as if it was being worn, since that is how people will see it out at a con. If you glue it while it's flat, it may look alright but distort when you try it on.

Thanks. So would fabric glue be suitable for the job? I've never used it before

E6000 is a flexible, waterproof, adhesive that a lot of people use for attaching fabric. It may require clamping and a few hours (overnight is best) to fully cure, but it works well.
