Am I the only freak out there that dreams in Anime? Not exactly a specific series, but just you and your friends as Anime. Or even daydreaming you just happen to be Anime. Almost every dream I have I have long flowing strange colored hair and huge reflective eyes. Am I odd?

Just the other day I was bouncing around in front of my school because I was cold and a friend of mine said I reminded him of an Anime game character. I even stand like one and give the Victory sign in pictures. GAH!!!!! I'm becoming Anime. Guess that will come in handy when I cosplay...

I was just wondering if I was alone in this weird habit.

I know alot of people have cosplay based dreams, I don't know if like yours or not. I tend to have dreams on anything and everything ..@___@;; . And I wouldn't know about how I act, I dont have any friends who could tell me..-_-;;
But if you like acting in Char while cosplaying, of course its a good thing ! ^___^;

I'm an amature writer, but every idea (usually from a dream) I have looks like an anime in my head. You know, the flowing action, the funky hair and weapons. I wake up, and the few things I remember from my dream are all like that. I can't escape it! (Not like I want to, mind you ^_^) But, yeah, you're not the only one. My friends even say that if anime characters were real, I'd be one, so you can just imagine...

Kia-I write and draw and have the funky anime things to! Spiffy! Any wyas, nah, I think what you enjoy and watch a lot tends to rub off on you! Example: after watching Sleepy Hollow numeious times, I found out that I had a little of JHonny Depps accent in me! Not to mention the handwriting to!!

^_^ I used to want to write/draw comic books, but I see things more as one continuous frame instead of a series of individual shots. I'd always be thinking that some cool little detail would be missing that you could only see if it was an anime. ^_^

A friend of mine has asked me to co-write a comic with him that he wants to pitch to Antartic Press... I'm just not sure if I can do it...

^_^ I'm not so sure...one thing that's really personal to me is my writing, there's always a part of me in every story. But as for my artist friend, I have complete confidence in him! His art is really good! <= my avatar is an example of some of his work ^_^

Self-insertion! Gotta love it, my best friend does it it EVERY fic she writes. I make it a little more subtle, each caracter is a part of my, but not me outright, it just wouldn't work with how I write.

It' me out right! I write in that kinda Anne Rice way. Very detailed, and tries to make all the words flow like a poem.

I have a hard time putting all my thoughts down into something people can understand...I just have so much to say! ^_^

Kia

Oh my gosh... we've gone completely off topic, haven't we?!

I guess so! Uh....anime? Anyone else?

Lol... oh well. By the way, you aren't the only one to pcik up on Johnny Depps accent. I did that too. I also picked up on the whole Creole/French thing from Interview with the vampire.

But.. yeah... my friends say I act like an anime character even when I'm NOT in costume. I'm a character in many mangas that they write, however I am not talented enough to write one of my own.. *cries to self, but regains composure* *ahem* anyway... uh... yeah...

My ex and I used to larp alot of stuff from Buffy to Gundam Wing to Harry Potter.

But there's so many times I talk to people or at work I just want to "sweatdrop" or do a "face fault"...

RoseDuelist

Lol.. I know what you mean by the sweatdrop thing. Me and my friend Ben have a habit of laughing with our hand behind our head and our head cocked back. Also, I've been told I laugh like Naga or Nanami (Utena).
Also, I've been told I could be quite genki at times... *shrug* I guess I could take that as a complement.

Nope I'm pretty sure it was DBZ...u really can't forget something that has Vegata yelling at a shoe to show itself so he can beat the crap out of it...which is weird cause it was a "GIANT" shoe so how can he miss it...again it was just weird...I think I'll coop with my confussion by just smiling and nodding...

It depends. My dreams tend to recycle elements of what I've been doing and thinking about during the day, so if I've been watching a lot of anime, or movies, or playing video games, that will often slip into my dreams.

Unfortunately, I don't remember my dreams very often, but the ones I do remember make me wish I could remember more. I still remember one very vivid and detailed FF8 dream from a few years back in which I was a character in the game (I made out with Seifer, which is probably why I still remember it) - I even had an artist friend draw a picture of me in the outfit I was wearing in the dream.

Living anime: I scream "NYO!!!" and "MINU!!" a lot. XD
Dreaming anime: I have tons of anime dreams and I record them on a website. Many are very funny to read. ^^;

My dreams are reflected on my feelings in the day and stuff I wear, think about, and watch on TV. If you read my anime dreams youll notice my dead relatives visit me in my dreams. ^^;

ohlala, i know what you're talking about with the yelling of random japanese phrases.

For the most part, though, i don speak no japanese. But my subconsious doesn't seem to realize that. My sis and I often find ourselves talking to eachother in japanese accents, and I do that high-pitched girl-shout all the time... to the dismay of anyone in my household who has been able to retain their sense of hearing...

The only time I EVER start speaking japanese words and such, is when I'm with my friend who usually gets me started! She's such a bad influence :p
Other than that, I'm talking english!

If your the only one dreaming it that I am in your dreams, no offence, but I have done alot of that since I started watching such things. And I dont want to stop, it helps me think, releave stress and even have fun with people I want to know and meet.

I'm always thinking up stories or going through a scene in my head. The style always seems to be influenced by anime.

Someday I hope to turn most of these ideas into a few movies or comics. That will be so cool.:)

hmmm.......I should start writing my ideas down. I'm starting to forget them.

I forget a lot of things. Once, I went on a trip with just my mom, and coming back home, I couldn't remember my own brother's name. I know it now. :D

oh man... i completely understand your situation ^^ i do that too!! some of my friends that don't watch anime are always like... "do you HAVE to do that little V thing with your fingers in EVERY picture?!" hehe.. but the anime-tolerant people and otakus look at me and sigh... they don't say anything because they know they do it too!

Hmmm the sweatdrop thing happens a lot in situations...Since my friends can't instantly produce those things...-_- they say "sweatdrop" which I think is a little weird, but I just give the T_T - face... I live in anime everyday @_@ crazy....it seems I overanalyze things at times, bringing up the something like, "hey..that's exactly what would happen in anime/manga." I am not alone, how comforting. Ohohoho (I tend to laugh like Naga when people find it annoying XD,...heck....I've got my mom doing the laugh with her two fingers next to her face -_-; )
