I've seen the trailer for this cool looking movie and I already thinking of a genderbent Fix-it Felix. Anyone else want to cosplay this?

I'm looking to cosplay Vanellope! I plan on dyeing a white hoodie for it and I'm torn between using "sage green" and "Cayman Isle green" on this page (http://www.dharmatrading.com/html/eng/3796-AA.shtml?lnav=dyes.html). Leaning towards sage.

I am so torn between Taffyta and Jubileena. I may end up cosplaying both because they are so cute.

I'm considering either Candlehead or an original Sugar Rush racer.. ebay has some great green wigs if I was Candlehead!

Been working on Felix - I finished his shirt and hat last night!

Sorry if it is huge! The lighting in my apartment is very poor and it washed out the nice colors of the garments.

I'm planning to be Vanellope. One thing is bugging me, though - how am I going to make those tights? Any suggestions?

Let me see how a friend of mine is making them - have you considering making leggings using a pattern and doing the stripes out of another color?

I actually made mine (http://www.cosplay.com/photo/3328837/)with a modified pattern for pajama pants :P Since I'll be debuting her at a colder convention, I used arctic fleece, since it's got two-way stretch. (Remember it's flip-flopped because of the mirror~) I also love it because the minty fleece is the same I used for the hoodie! I'm sure spandex would also work wonderfully :)

Dangerousladies on Tumblr are doing a tutorial on how to paint tights for Vanellope! I'd say check them out!

I'm fixing to get started on Candlehead! Super excited but really unsure where to find the pink jacket material. I'm kind of on a super tight budget sooo yeah. Any suggestions? Also wig suggestions?

I have a picture of more complete Felix done - should I post it?

MamaAustria: You really have to ask?:3

LadySasha: I concur with MamaAustra on the wig, although it's a really odd color 0.o Not quite olive, not quite light green or jade. Personal choice, there :) As for fabric, have you thought of layering tissue lamé (http://www.syfabrics.com/View.aspx/Tissue-Lame/Pink-Tissue-Lame/1050/213) with cotton? It'd look awesome, and wouldn't cost too much. Plus, if there's a Joann's near you, they're having a 25% of total purchase sale (http://www.joann.com/coupon/?icn=Home&ici=Slot5) :D

Looks like metallic spandex to me. As to wig colour Emerald Green or Light green dyed slight darker would be my choice.

Tissue Lame always needs back so I'm recommending going with a cheap spandex.

Ha, aww! I'm glad this thread exists - we are also trying to figure out the fabric to use for the Sugar Rush racers!

And here's a link to my FB cosplay page, and Felix progress!

Everything pictured (except for the white undershirt and base hat) was constructed by me. =D

Honestly, I think all the Sugar Rush racers (with the exception of Vanellope) wear satin jackets. Not only is that what the dolls wear, a lot of sporty jackets (ESPECIALLY in the 80s) tend towards satin. I know satin is a pain in the butt for costuming, but in this case I think it's actually pretty accurate.

This is a late response, but thanks to those who answered my question XD and good luck with your cosplays, everyone :)

Planning to have a small "Sugar Rush" group for Sakura Matsuri in Washington, DC this year: Taffyta, Vanellope, and Jubileena.

For what it's worth (if anyone's still wondering such things), as far as I know my Vanellope used plain ol' RIT dye in "teal" (though only a relatively small amount) to dye a white hoodie accordingly, and my jacket for Jubileena is just a slightly modified Adidas windbreaker (not sure if our Taffyta's doing the same for hers, but whatever, we don't have to 100% match).

Though would you believe we couldn't find red or black rubber boots anywhere for a price we could afford/we were willing to pay! At least I was able to find some PVC so we could make boot covers.
