Are there any that is based in the U.S.? I have used those sites that are like in Hong Kong,Korea,China,Japan, but they always seem to let me down. Things Ive gotten are always smaller then what they say. Ex: Naruto Headband from CosplayMagic way smaller than thought...its like kid sized.

By now there has to be one like these in the U.S right? Any good commissioners here that are not too pricey?

Actually, many commissioners have DA's. If you check the commissioner review thread, you can see tons of commissioners. :) It would be hard to list them all, plus their sites here.

+1 There are many great US commissioners, such as God Save the Queen and Blind Squirrel and Volpin.

There are good and bad apples everywhere... I just wish the bad ones would fall off the trees and out of the orchards of their own accord! Well, it's a sliding scale too.

Thanks angel! I didn't see that thread till now. silly me XD

I know there's alot of commissioners but I was looking for a site like cosplayhouse or cosplaymagic that was based in the US.

Ooo, well as for that, I'm actually not sure here are many! CosplayMagic and Moon Cosplay (I think) are the only two I specifically am aware of. As for commissioners, I'll second GSTQ, Volpin, and Blind Squirrel. They are amazing! (but pricey) Apple Cosplay has produced good results for my friend. I've yet to find a US based commissioner I've been 100% satisfied with, personally. :/

those two angel mentioned are the two reccommended ones, if you want to test the waters on cosplayhouse, they ship from the stock in cali but good luck there. ive heard they are not bad, but they dont have many product pictures on the site. from what ive seen, they dont have product pix cuz that item they havent actually made yet..the only ones that have pix are the ones that they have already done and made quite a few of. the rest are ones they still have to make..

Any cheap commissioners here? Some are way to pricey for me since I have no job...

It depends on who you go with. As far as prices, your best bet is to look through the used costume section of the Marketplace. I just got a Yuki Cross cosplay for $50 plus shipping which in my opinion is a steal! :D

As far as price goes for U.S. commissioners, that will very A LOT. I am gonna use myself as an example. I would do a KHII Sora wig for no more then $80 to ship in the U.S. using Arda's wigs and $75 using epiccosplay. Before i started styling my own wigs, everyone except one person quoted me over $110. That is a pretty big different. So, you really have to ask around the commissioners themselves.

How much are you willing to spend on cosplay items? Do you have any idea of who you are going to cosplay as?

For me it would be $100 since I have no job and the money I do have is to live on...not much left to spend on things..and if you look at my sig you will see all I want..if I had all these outfits in my closet right now life would seem fun.

Wow! That's quite a list!
Many of those characters have complex outfits though. Depending on where you buy from - try to find a place that has free shipping. I used CosplayMagic for my Haruhi Suzumiya cosplay - $96 w/free shipping.

I like cosplaymagic since the shipping is free..all the other sites I see tack on a huge $10 or more shipping fee. Ive only gotten a naruto headband from them..I was thinking about getting one of the school girl outfits since they are so cheap..thanks dragon

No problem! I'm happy to recommend it.
Also check out the marketplace for used costumes. I found a Yuki Cross cosplay for $50 + $10 for shipping - $60 total. Much cheaper than any cosplay sites.
