Looking to do a Piers Nivans cosplay for early next year. Playing RE6 amt and I liked the character. Does anyone have an idea of what kind of kit he uses. I'm not very well versed in American kit unfortunatly. Any help is much appreciated.

Looks like his vest is this one: http://www.tacticalgearco.com/delux-molle-vest/
Then he's got a simple double pistol mag pouch on his right chest, with the mags stuffed in like Chris' in RE5 (rather than wrap the lid over the mag, it's just wedged in and held in by tension, for faster access). On his leg chest is an admin/map pouch with velcro outer, not unlike this one:
The thing is, admin pouches are a little bigger than the one on Piers' vest, so you may be better making that one custom if you want it to look right. Then of course he's got two pouches stuck on it, the BSAA SOU one, and the A POS blood type one. The device underneath that pouch is supposed to be a PTT button for his radio, but honestly it looks like it was modeled after a cheap airsoft LAM. You may be able to grab one and add some extra wire to it to replicate that look.
His scarf looks just like one of these: http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?cPath=30_151&products_id=35096
Looks like he's wearing a rigger's belt attached to the bottom of his vest, and over that he's wearing a duty belt on a belt pad. Google all those items, and they should turn up easily.
The magazine pouches on his belt look like custom M4 mag pouches, only because the camo print is so unique. If you can find desert camo M4 pouches, that would probably work, but if I were doing it I would get tan pouches, and paint the pattern on myself.
The rigs on his legs appear to be like this one: http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?cPath=30_712_715&products_id=34882
But he has swapped out the pouches for some other ones. I'm having a hard time finding good angles of it. They appear to be mirror images of each other though, and regardless of which leg, it goes: radio pouch (one of the default pouches on that rig, the one with the buckle) then some kind of MOLLE pouch with a zip top, and attached to the front of that is a triple pistol mag. pouch. I can't see what's at the back though.
There are good references here, but beware of potential Yaoi: http://browse.deviantart.com/fanart/?view_mode=2&order=9&q=piers+nivans&offset=35
On the back of his vest he has some kind of radio pouch, and at least one other pouch. I'm not sure exactly what they are. That should cover the pouches for ya! I'm not sure about his jacket, pants, boots or gloves though. Hope that helps!

Cheers Jack, as usual you advice is awesome. The shirt and trousers look a bit like 5.11 stuff.

These look to be his boots.

With regards to the custom admin pouch. Don't suppose Cosblade has any commission slots open does it Jack? I know from experience you guys do top notch work!

Not for sewing, unfortunately. My focus is on armor and props right now, and my wife and I are expecting a baby this week, so my time is stretched thin anyhow.

Fair enough mate, and congratulations!

Decided to move on from my SFO airosft stuffdue to my current job role making it a bit defunct. So wanted to try something new. Been playing Resi 6 and like the look of the BSAA troopers.

Was thinking a 6094 with some sort of additional pads, or something like these

Sorry to hijack but it seemed more appropriate than creating a new thread! I was wondering if anyone could settle on what colour Piers' BDU Combat Trousers are? I'm convinced they're grey, and the RE6 artbook seems to look that way (almost white, even) but some other people I've asked are equally adamant that they're brown. Do they change from Edonia to China? I've had a look at some in-game renders and they could go either way to be honest (to the point where his CT vest looks OD).

I think they ae more tan as they match his top. It is just RE always puts silly colour filters on everything.

Thanks for the reply!
Just for reference, do you reckon it's just because they look "dirty" that they look grey here? The trousers definitely don't match the lighter parts of his shirt, I'd say they're closer to the darker panels.
I'll try and get some pictures of my progress so far up once I've got access to my kit. I'm not going 100% accurate in terms of tactical gear (as I have a rule about only cosplaying with gear I'm likely to get some use out of afterwards) but I'm hoping to get the clothing down as close as possible!

The top is a mix of tan and coyote brown, the trousers are a lighter tan. But that's just one render. I've seen others where the colour differences are not as marked. It depends on the source.

This thread is amazing, I just have to say, and I'm so glad I'm not the only one who couldn't tell WTF COLOR HIS PANTS WERE.
I actually have some of the models someone exported, if anyone needs some shots of Piers. It's the least I can do since I know absolutely nothing about Rigging so this thread is going to save my behind.

I would say that the pants color almost resembles the new U.S. Marine digital camo; but it's hard to tell with grainy pictures and color filters...
