Hello,
So I've never cosplayed before but I'd really like to cosplay Haytham. I can't seem to find any resources on him and, to make matters more complicated, I'm a girl and would probably want to do an at least somewhat feminized version of his costume.

But, because I am a first timer, I thought I would start with trying to make his hat and see if I could do it/it was something I liked, because it wouldn't cost too much or be too time consuming if I failed or hated it.

But I don't even know what kind of material his hat is. Can anyone give me a hand?

I'd guess Hatytham's hat would be made of stiff felt or wool. i would probably look for a felt hat then pin, stitch or glue the sides up to make it look like a tricorn hat

i think this one would work Jaxon outback crushable hat (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0036Q8S4U/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_3/183-8977016-5764058?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_r=06VTX5PCR5EFTNBJXRTY&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_i=B005EP1PQO)

Thanks so much for your help, I was worried the brim on the one you showed me would be too small, but using your advice of using wool felt I was able to find something I though would work.
