Hey all,

Has anyone who has commissioned this person heard from them at all? I've tried messaging them and emailing them over the past month but I've had no luck. The last time I was contacted was in January. It seems others are having the same issue. : /

Edit: I'm pretty sure they used to be under the name Rhi (http://www.cosplay.com/marketplace/showproduct.php/product/35634)

Sadly the last message I got from her was on the 4th of Jan. It's plain she's not dead--her account says she logged onto cosplay.com only a few days ago. Super bummed, this will only have been the second thing I've ever tried to commission. I usually make everything myself, and now 2/2 I've been left without a piece and my money. I do commissions myself so it's always disappointing to have someone hustle others and make my potential customers have that much more trepidation about commissioning.

I have little to no time now to do anything myself so I have to commission others. : / As of late I've had super bad luck with one person and now this. Did you pay through Paypal and if so were those funds taken out of a checking account tied to a debit card instead of a Paypal balance? I researched what actions I could take to get my money back and you can initiate chargebacks through credit card companies. Visa has a 120 day window to make a chargeback, so I'm hoping they can help.

Eh, even if I got the money back, she has my wigs. I had only needed her to style them, and the color was a pain to find. I barely care about the cosplay anymore, but this whole thing is seriously bumming me out.

Here's all the information I have on her. I would encourage people to file a dispute with her via however they paid and to email her until she responds. I hate people like this. People like her give commissioners a bad name and make clients scared to commit.

I agree. I've compiled basically all contact and records of payment with her and saved them. The bank couldn't help me, I filed a Paypal dispute after 45 days, the only thing I can do now is to possibly report her to the BBB. Im also changing my primary PayPal fund source to a credit card so I can do chargebacks if something like this ever happens again. It's weird though. It seems like she used to go by the name Rhi and even has old marketplace ads up under that name with the same PayPal email. She also has had one count of positive feedback.

Yea, my mom suggested using the paypal information to call her local police department to report her for fraud. I doubt they'll do too much for such a small amount, but at the worst it'll put a scare in her, but if enough people complain about her, maybe something real could be done.

I think a little scare would be good. What she's doing really is fraud and could have very real legal consequences. If there's a larger amount of people who step up and call her out on this nonsense then she could possibly be monitored. That's what I'm hoping for at this point.
