Did you enjoy the con?? I sure did. This was my second con, ACEN '03 was my first. My costume this year was so much better than last year's costume. I loved Soap Bubble. I was hyped up on caffinee I was dancing DDR style even before the doors opened. All that dancing damaged my shoes but it was worth it.

I had a blast, this being my first con. I definitely look forward to more in the future.

I loved meeting Scott McNeil, personally. I thought he was very friendly and personable--and he's such an absolute sweetie! ::cherishes the kiss from him::

Everything, for the most part, was so much fun, though. And thanks to everyone that took pictures of me and my group! We appreciate it!

Hosting a panel with Scott McNeil(Even if it was only in the last half hour)...

Nuff said.

This was my first con too. I LOVED meeting Scott McNeil and Greg Ayers. Greg Ayers especially because he is sooooooo sweet and one of the craziest guys I've ever meet. Me and my friend drew him pictures of Goku on Sunday and he like totally freaked! He took a picture of us and is gonna post it on his website =D

It was my first con also, I personally enjoyed meeting Shinichi Watabae (sp?), he was quite amusing. And seeing all the cosplay and all that...I don't know...I just had alot of fun xD

All of it! ACen was freaking awesome! ^_^ Everyone wanted pictures of my friend and I because we were Lenne and Yuna. ^_^ It made me feel special. ^_^ I was Wind Pretear for a while (did ya see me at the walk-on in the masquerade? I also came with the transforming Sailor Moon and the songstress Yuna that followed after me. ^.^) but I had so much fun being Lenne. I got to take a picture with the awesome Shuyin!

However, they were a little disorganized this year...my friend and I waited three hours in line to register. They had a TON of people and like five people at the register. The autograph signing was even worse...we waited two hours, and the staff kept directing people in different directions without telling other staff members, so those members were all like, "Wha?" lol

But it was such a great time. ^_^ I so wanna go back next year!

Remembering to bring my own food, and leaving one of the panels after ten minutes.

...Okay, on a less cynical note, I enjoyed the actual con much less this year than last year - it just seemed to have a lot more technical difficulties and coordination issues than I remember ACen 2003 having. Or maybe it's just because ACen 2003 was the first con I ever went to for more than an afternoon, and everything seemed so incredible then.

However, I had a really great time with my friends, and some of the random strangers I met. The absolute high point was the random Get Backers gathering after midnight Saturday night. I don't know if people had planned it and I just hadn't seen any posts about it or what, but it caught me by surprise, and it was just great to see that many cosplayers from the only anime series I give a crap about. Even if it meant that I was redundant as the third Ban there, before I changed into Emishi to rejoin the group. ;)

Getting a snapshot with Nabeshin, definitely. Also remembering to finally go to Karaoke this year as well.

This was my first con and it was a fun fun blast!

I didn't see many problems with it, but this is most likely because it's my first convention and I can't really compare it to anything..

The best part was meeting Watanabe! He signed my shirt with his pretty afro goodness!

I think the best parts where
a. I got over 100 cosplay pictures which beats previous cons
b. People actually recognized my costume and I got pictures taken ^^ ( I was the lighter blue saito, it was my springtime variant ^^)
c. coming in 2nd place in the game show....two years in a row lol and I only had to take my pants off to do it this year...lol not in that way if anyone saw it they know what happened ^^

The best part was the Parapara performance at the friday night dance. My arms were about to fall off towards the end but it was something I had been waiting for for the longest time and it was just wonderful!! The only thing that ruined it was the idiot breakdancers I kept tripping over. If anyone else was there I was the tall chick in the all-white outfit =p

Being in the masq. was pretty cool (it was my first time doing that).
Getting a picture taken w/ Monica Rial while I was in my Kirika costume.
Totally Lame Anime rocked. I NEED to find a copy of Frankenstein, lol.
The Dubs That Time Forgot panel was equally as funny (thats not a person! Its a woman!)
Wearing my costumes.

Thats all I can think of off hand

I have LOTS of fave moments at A-cen, but right now I can think of these:

1. Doing the photoshoots of my friends like RikkuX, SugarXSpice, Haruka&Lilyxandra, Beverly, CosPinay, ErikaDoor, etc.

2. Taking the pics of the Initial D AE86 & Lan-Evo, especially during Saturday evening for some kewl "night-battle" pics.

3. Doing the cosplay.com table-gatherings on both nights, playing the Eurobeat & Freestyle music, and printing out the days' pictures.

I think that the con was a little more organized than last year. This year's Con Suite was in a bigger room and was not hidden behind the swimming pool. Registration was in a better location than last year. Registration last year was a fire disaster waiting to happen.

Best parts for me XD

1. Berserker Photoshoot with Eurobeat and Ziggy
2. Getting stopped by security numerous times for breaking 4' prop rule
3. Getting prop approved by security, and still getting stopped
4. The little FF gathering up by the pool
5. Getting 102 pictures total (lots more than last year)
6. Having 2 decently finished costumes
7. Getting many compliments and pictures of my costumes
8. Dealers room (always)
9. Actually getting a hotel room to sleep in

Now Im so tired.... :snoring:

One of the best part for me was just being able to represent Macross (which I've been wanting to do for a long time) and running into all the Macross fans in my Do You Remember Love uniform. Even the Japanese guests I met for autographs recognized my outfit. Very cool!

Also going as Jounouchi/Joey from Yu Gi Oh was a blast. There were so many Yu Gi Oh cosplayers scattered about. I did run into most of them at one point or time for a picture. I did meet up w/Capsule Corp and a few others for the photoshoot. Man if only there was away to get all the Yu Gi Oh cosplayer together for one big photoshoot.

Yeah, I tried that, but it was sort of last-minute after the thread at the ACen forums talking about dueling in the halls...I realized there were going to be so many YGO cosplayers and thought "why don't we have a shoot?" Next year I'll plan ahead a couple months in advance. :D Your Jounochi was the best I've seen in a long time, Jgo, it was so much fun hanging with you, dueling you, etc! And dude, you know, what you said came true - literally MINUTES after coming downstairs after changing into Hiei, I found the Duel Monsters. *dies*

Anyway. My favorite con story happened before the con even started. Thursday night, after meeting up with kylash and Ayaka and the others, we were sitting around watching people's stuff and trying to decide what we were going to do, and sort of waiting to meet up with others, when Shinchi Wantanabe came blazing past us. Already hyper. I didn't recognize him off the bat, I thought he was just another Nabeshin cosplayer! :D But my friend was wearing her Youko kitsune ears, and he came up to her and touched her ears (a la Kagome with Inuyasha's ears)...and then took them off and put them on with his fro and started dancing around! It was so hysterical, and that was when I realized who he was. SoulCrash got at least a picture, if not video, of that - and I want to see it!

There were many disorganizational problems, with the con and with the hotel in general. All in all, we have TOTALLY outgrown that hotel, and they should look into finding a bigger place to hold it.

The hotel staff was absolutly attrocious, especially the one that slammed into my friend's car in the parking lot. The elevator situation was annoying (fix those damn things!) The lack of luggage carts was silly. The extra late check-in and bullsh*t reason that we couldn't get our roomkeys when first checking in was apalling. The meetings for Masquerade sign up was at the most inconvenient times. The people with signs were really starting to become a bother.

But other than that ... I guess I can say I had a good time ...

It was my 5th year attending, and I have to say that it was the most stressful and tiring con I've ever been to and ever want to go to again.

Next year, depending on if they clean up their act, I'm not sure I'd like to go to ACen, which is very very depressing for me. ACen has been my home town mecha of conventions that I attend. It's sad for me to see it turn into something that's not enjoyable any more.

Personally, I enjoyed it. It was bigger than Ohayocon and Collasalcon (though a bit less organized). High points:

-plane ride in
-handing out pocky on the shuttle to other otaku ^^
-getting swarmed for photos early friday morning as Yomiko
-having 5 females in 1 hotel room with just a king size bed was FUN
-getting swarmed for photos friday afternoon/evening as Alice from DDR with my friend dressed as NiNa
-THE SID CONCERT
-FCing Sexy Planet (oni) on one of the Extreme machines in the game room
-getting swarmed for photos in my gothic lolita costume with my friend in her uber-blue lolita costume
-the EGL Tea Party/Photoshoot
-being a Kenshin's 'whore'
-hanging out with all the cosplayers around the statue on Saturday
-Gino's pizza!
-room parties
-the music in the lobby
-seeing people I'd met at Ohayocon (like the one girl whom squealed "OMG YOMIKOCHAN!" when I first got into Ohayocon as Yomiko)

Low points:
-elevators were the suck, and we were only on the 4th floor!
-the stairwell in our wing smelled like pee.
-blisters ;-;
-not being able to walk
-being grouchy on sunday because of very little sleep
-going hungry most of the time because Gackt made me poor

Best parts

-The Excel Saga panel and meeting other Excel Saga cosplayers. And the little photoshoots we had afterwords. Then later getting Shinichi Wantanabe's autograph.

-Getting some great stuff at the dealer's room. I actually found a Master Mosquiton poster!

-The Masqurade. Dispite the controversy over the awards, it was fun.

-Meeting some online friends and reuniteing with old ones.

-Actually eating something on Saturday afternoon, even if it was the overpriced hotel food.

-Getting some great picutures taken of me and the Excel Saga group from the guy at fansveiw.

-Actually getting to see the last few minutes of the SID consert.

-Seeing some really funny AMVs.

Low points

-Very sore feet and a sore sholder from carring my Excel jacket, a heavy purse and several dealer's room bags. One of the reasons why I wanted a hotel room. :p

-Nearly loseing my Excel costume after changing into my Satella costume. I was so upset. I'd thought I'd never see it again. ^_^'

-Not getting to do kraoke because of the above problem.

-Getting sick on Sunday night right after the con.

-Haveing a hard time finding anybody. Spent alot of the con just wondering around looking for people.

-It's over! T_T

My favorite ACen04 experiences would have to be
-Of course seeing all my friends and meeting some really wonderful people.
-The photoshoots with Al and Kyle
-Hanging out with ParnsAngel and Hoshikuzu Friday night in our Shadow Lady costumes. At least we knew who we were. lol Those two gals are a blast.
-After Casey and I went on for the masquerade we ran out for a bathroom break and some really little girls and their family caught us and asked for photos and character autographs. It was really cute and I felt like a character actor from Disney World when I was kneeling down to talk to them. Made my night!
-Free movie goodies in the con suite Saturday. *holds up her Harry Potter Lego bus* ^_^

Good points of Acen?

- Getting early to the hotel and actually letting us check in early.
- The Masquerade was on time!
- Goofing off with that really cute Miroku after the masquerade...pervy fun, yay! :bigtu:
- Scott on saturday night...that guy is so much fun.
- Sitting in the royal box at Iron Guest. Emily is the shizznit.
- Acting like a crazy goof hiding from people who came to see my friend, but alas she did not want to see him. Thus why I got to see Scott and Miroku, and ran around the hotel on saturday night and sunday morning. :D

Forgot to add that Saturday night karaoke was a blast..that one girl with the screaming baka song..classic..

Random Question: Does anyone here know a guy that lives in Milwaukee (SP?) Wisconsin and was cosplaying something on Saturday..I dunno what, but he had heavy black eyeliner on, lots of rings on and he also had black nail polish on and he had a sign attached to a pole saying something about with a little soap you can be clean but it never hurts to be a little dirty or something like that? If so, respond here or PM me..

I can say it was fun, but I really wasn't that impressed with ACen... it was my second con, first ACen. The hotel was COMPLETE BULLSHIT. There's so much I can say about it that was VERY upsetting...

The rooms were far too small to accomodate that many people for many of the panels.. I wound up quitting and just wandering because I didn't feel like waiting in line to listen to people talk for an hour.

A lot of little things bugged me, but I guess I'm over it. Everyone's cosplaying was beautiful, and there were a lot of very cool people, but I never got to actually talk to anyone or get any contact information.

The masquerade was wonderful, but I won't be back next year. It isn't worth it.

i had a blast at acen..only thing was when we checked int hey had no more cots left!~ they told my mom they would! T.T that and the dealer room seemed to have less than it did last year...........and anime hell was over an hr late and i got in trouble for that..... Other than that I had a major blast!~ cant wait till the next con comin up for me which is anime reactor!

No one lynched me for wearing my Ravenclaw costume. Always a plus :) I got quite a few hugs from people screaming "RAVENCLAW ROCKS". Sleeping in the closet of the room was a blast. (Really, it was!)

Singing Come What May during "anime" Karaoke. That was awesome, I still don't know how we got away with that. And not totally fudging up the version of 1000 Words I threw together before Acen was a total relief.

Things to change for next year:
I'm getting my own room. As fun as it was sleeping in the closet, being in a room full of guys who are up til 5am isn't very fun.

I missed the karaoke contest... the entire reason I threw together 1000 Words... :(

I need to finish my costumes I have laying around... I could have done Prince Endimion, but I didn't feel like lugging my breastplate in. Next year, perhaps. And just to spite one person who talked to me about my costume... I'll bring my RC costume back :P

Best part for me. :: smirks :: catching menchi being "loyal" to his Girlfriend Starla. Yeah I pitty her for her boyfriend being "loyal" but at least she now can do what she needs to do. Sorry to the other woman involved.

Oh and yeah the Sephiroth, and meeting new freinds. A cute guy stealing my bed. Yup, this acen was good while it lasted for me.

Best parts-

-- Winning second place in the masquerade! I've been in skits since '01 and never before have I been part of a winning group. What an honour.

-- As usual, getting pictures taken of myself and feeling flattered by compliments. :D Everyone's so nice and appreciative of cosplayers.

-- Photoshoot with Kyle, even though I was running around the con prior to this. My wig was completely screwed up. Oi.

-- The Soap Bubble & random parties that happened around then.

-- Visiting friends, of course.

-- Oh, and I can't forget the only panel I went to - Para Para! It was fun. :)

Cut out the rumor-mongering and speculation as to whatever you might have see was actually about. Cosplay.com is not the place for this.

Okay then I appoligize. Next time I take the queston to a majorly censored approach. Not good with figureing out to what level you can answer a question to.
