Does anyone know what I can possibly do to look like I have no eyebrows without shaving them off? Thanks.

Actually I do makeup for the stage and theatre and removing eyebrows is easy.
You can buy all the supplies you need from a company called BenNye. There about the longest lasting best company I've found.
You'll need:
Spirit gum
Eyebrow Wax
Foundation and Powder
and Spirit gum remover (to get the stuff off.)

First you brush the eyebrows with spirit gum against the natural shape of the hair (i.e. Move from the end outside of the eyebrow to the inside)
Then brush the hairs up to flatten them against your face as much as you can.

This must be done relatively quickly before the Spirit Gum starts to harden. Basically this creates a flat surface on the face for you to apply the wax. It also prevents the eyebrow wax from ripping out your existing eyebrow. BE SURE that all the hairs are covered...OR ELSE!

Next take a small bit of eyebrow wax and work it in your fingers to soften, then cover the eyebrow completly. Use a thin layer but make sure you get rid of the ridges of the hairs.

Basically the eyebrow wax works like a ridge filler for nails, it gives the appearance of smooth skin and dosent let the eyebrow show through. Blend out the edge of the wax so the wax looks like a continuation of the skin.

If you don't use the wax however, the texture of your eyebrow would still show through under the foundation.

Next apply the foundation and MAKE SURE that it matches your skin tone. I guarantee that there is no way that you will be able to match the wax to your skin.

Then powder so that the foundation dosent wipe off.

There is also another fantastic product from BenNye called "FinalSeal" if you spray this on your face (making sure not to get it in your eye or lips...it will burn) then your makeup won't go anywhere. This can be used for any type of makeup and since it is designed for use under hot stage lights, it guarantees not to sweat off.

To remove wipe of the Foundation with a baby wipe or face cleansing pad, then scrape the wax out of the eyebrow and use spirit gum remover to get rid of the rest.

Thats all to it! It has been my experience that this is the best way.
If you need more help or makeup tips let me know.
You can PM me or email me at binkers941aol.com

Thanks!

Hi there, sorry to revive this thread, but it really has been one of the most helpful i've found so far. I've got spirit gum and FINALLY found a perfect matching foundation and whatnot (3 weeks and 30 bucks later >__> XD ) but i was looking for wax and aren't really sure what kind to get.

There's roll on stuff, the heat up stuff (which i'm almost definite isn't the right kind to get) and whatnot, i'm just kind of lost as to what particular kind to get (***sooooo lost****). Any suggestions would be so very largely appreciated, thank you very much =D

You can buy it from Ben Nye. It comes in a little tub. 1 oz. should be fine for non-pros. Will probably give you about 5 applications.
