Okay I'm having the WORST time in the world finding dark blue lipstick for a Mana costume, especially since it isn't anywhere near halloween :miffed: And I can't buy it off of the internet cause the con i'm going to is in less than two weeks. So would it be okay to use eyeliner as lipstick or is that a bad idea?

I do that all the time.. but for me.. it seems to really dry out my lips.. but it does work fine. Maybe put a bit of gloss or somethiogn overtop?

That would probably work, but i'd use lots of gloss on top. Mana needs that glossy look anyway. The liner should probably want to be waterproof, if you can find it. Plus, the liner would match your eyes! Yay for matching!

Oh~ I did this for my Mana costume when we couldn't find any blue lipstick! It worked very well! You have to put a lot on, though. Just find the right shade! ;)

Suggestion: Lip Venom works great over the top for a super super glossy, shiny look.

Wow, that Lip Venom looks like a really interesting product. (just looked it up) Does it hurt? I don't know if i'd be too keen on painful lip gloss, whether it makes me prettier or no! "bee stung lips"... sexy, i guess...

Just use eyeshadow and mix it with vaseline. It works really well too.

Oh, goodness no, it doesn't hurt. ~LOL~ It feels really tingly, and is fun to give kisses with. I actually really love the way it feels. It also depends on sensitivity, I know some people are very sensitive to it, and others don't feel much at all.
I swear by the stuff.

Yes, eyeliner works fine except for the fact that it makes your lips dry, just put lip gloss over it ^_^

Iv used eyeliner as lipstick. It was a much better color then my lipstick, and darker. I just put some chapstick on my lips a few mins before I put on the eyeliner and then put some more(or gloss) overtop. Worked great, I dident have to redo it, and it dident smear off(Just make sure its waterproof).

Just know that eyeliner wasn't meant to be used as lipstick or to be ingested like lipstick is. Well, not taking a bite out of it and swallowing it, but if it gets on food that's another story. I've used it before without problems, but it would be best to test it before using it at the con. Just to make sure you don't get any bad reactions from it.

Did you try places like Hot Topic or Sally's for blue lipstick? I bought some years ago at Gadzooks I think, but it's probably old and nasty by now. ><;

I use black eyeliner for my Klaha costume. I put chapstick on beforehand then the eyeliner when I do my makeup. I also use a lipstick sealer that I bought at WalMart so I dont lick it all off.

There is always theatrical makeup. Comes in many shades, can be mixed into a bazillion other shades, and is able to be put on your lips and (with a little power) will stay there. Also nontoxic. I had to use it for my Luminara (Star Wars) costume because I just couldn't find those two particular bluish-purple shades of lipstick even at exotic places. The only drawback is that a regular small tin of Ben Nye is $6.50.

try filling your lips with the eyeliner and using some chapstick to blend it in, then apply some gloss if you want a shiny look ^_^
