Hello, everyone!!

A group from LJ that I am in is organizing a little Gothic and Lolita tea party/picnic on June 13 on the Boston Common. We can, of course, take pictures and such as well. Any type of lolita or dandy is welcome to come!! Information is as follows:

WHAT: Boston Gothic/ Lolita Picnic
When: Sunday, June 13, 2004
Where: Boston Common; Boston, MA
What times: Two o'clock to six o'clock PM

From the flyer: "To the Gothic Lolitas of New England and beyond! You are cordially invited to attend Bostonís first ever Gothic Lolita picnic and tea party. Commune with other lolitas on the lovely Boston Common for an afternoon of tea, pleasantries, and delightful conversation. All lolita forms welcome!"

 Requirements!: 1. You MUST come dressed in the lolita fashion. It is a lolita tea party. Do not come dressed in the FRUiTS style or a generic Hot Topic t-shirt/pants combination or an anime costume that looks nothing like lolita. If you need an idea of what is lolita and what isn't, please refer to Gothic & Lolita Bible, or a GL website such as this one (http://www.magnet-holic.net/crosses/). Any kind of lolita is welcome; including Sweet Lolita, Country Lolita, EGA, etc. It does not have to be EGL. The more variety we have, the better it is! :)

2. You must bring at least one item of food/drink, tea party food is preferred (such as crumpets, cake, iced tea, fruit). You may also bring utensils and what not to accompany your food if you feel it is necessary. And if you like to take pictures, don't forget your camera. :)

More from the flyer: "Questions, comments, concerns? Feel free to email the picnicís organizers, Michi (Mee-chee) at bloodreddawn@hotmail.com, or Shini (Shee-nee) at shinigamikirei@yahoo.com. Apologies for the pronunciation guide, some people just canít get it right.
Unofficially sponsored by the Loli Biatches Livejournal community.

Please feel free to reply to this post if you have any questions. Discuss anything else as well. I am surely attending and I hope to see some of you there too! Thank you!!

Do you think you could schedule it for a different day maybe? This seems like short notice for some of us, and it follows right up the weekend after the Boston Cosplay Picnic.

Unfortunately, I'm not the organizer of this event. x_x I just offered to advertise it here on cosplay.com. The organizers are Michi and Shini (their e-mails are up there at the end of the post).

I'll most likely be there. I know I have the day off, but who knows if I'll have a finished outfit for it :japan: I could always just wear yukari but I was going to fiddle with the short skirt idea.

Edit June5th : looks like I won't be able to make it after all. Hope every one has fun though :japan:

It's actually across the street from the Commons, in the Boston Public Garden. Really pretty.
