I was only able to attend for part of friday and saturday, but I had a great time!! I spent the majority of friday in the swap meet and was unable to check out the actual con, but that opportunity came on saturday. Although I miss the homey feel of the Westin, I must admit that this new convention center is a winner. Parking was a bit of an issue, though... ^^;

The new masquerade theatre is incredible! An actual stage.... in an actual theatre.... I'm in love! Backstage was a bit cramped, but the balcony allowed us to watch the remaining entries after we had performed.

Did anyone see us? We were entry #4, "Freddy Mercury presents..." Ah.... dancing Gundams and tear-away pants. So much evil fluffy goodness. XD

I only managed to snag nine pictures, so I'm really looking forward to everyone elses' photos!

Okay then, who else has Fanime stories to share? =D

Well I was cosplaying as Hinata from Naruto, and I must say that Sunday's Naruto gathering and escapades were totally fun! I'm adding a big con report on www.japanophile.net and I'll have a big section up about Naruto cosplay and DDRing Domo-kun! :D

Daitenshi: I loved your skit, and didn't realize that was you as Kyoji in the G Gundam skit!! (and I was in the 5th row!) Amazing job to you and the other Sakura Mochi group, and congrats on your prize!

I loved the 2 Initial D cars that involved the use of shopping carts, and props to the guys who made the AE86 Trueno and the FD3S! :skidude2: Very unique and thanks for keeping Initial D cosplay alive n' kicking! ;) Made me wish I brought my FC3S to race with you guys! Wish you were going to AX, since like Fanime, you'll have enough room to move around in those shopping carts, I mean.. cars! (How did they transport the shopping carts to the con, anyway?)

I have a story~! Anyone who was there on Sunday probably saw the HUGE group of Naruto cosplayers playing a game of spoons (which we called Shuriken, as we had no spoons.. we used our makeshift weapons instead). Me and my two friends (we, sadly, are rather amateur cosplayers.. ah, well. They were the Gaara with the napkin sign that said "I'm Gaara, I eat babies." and the fem Naruto without the jacket. I was the femmy Sasuke~) started up a game of spoons. We attracted the Zabuza and Haku that were there, and dragged in more people.. until we had that huge group on the floor. We ran out of cards for everyone, even when we mixed two decks together.. and played the Naruto version of Duck Duck Goose: Ninja Ninja Anbu.

..ah, memories of rugburn. ^^;

Jeans-san, you were the pocky box? XD Our Zabuza hugged you at one point.

I played too!!!!! I was the Rinoa! ^_~ (what fun we had!)

I GOT MY BASS SIGNED BY CAMINO!!!!! and they gave my a sticker, and told me hi alot, and i got to give them each a hug!! =DDDDDD :love: :love: :love:

Yeah um Camino....IM IN LOVE!!!!! They were incredible! Ok story (bendas going to kill me for telling it first)

So Benda and I are walking back into the Westin to get her some shoes and I was on my cell phone and walking slow. So she stops by the door where two hottie Japanese guys are smoking and gets ready to pull it out for me when all the sudden one looks at her and says "We're in a band." I kinda stopped and shes like "What?!". The guys just kinda smile and go "Yeah, were in a band." And we were so confused! So we were like "Uh yea sure...good for you."

Aaaaaaand it turns out they were Taka and Kiku from Camino! Boy did we feel dumb later...but thats alright. They were really nice. Taka was totally flurting with Benda...at least I think so! ;) And Im in love with Jun.

Other than that it was fun...wish I could have seen more people but I think AX is going to be the con for that. NOT A FAN of the parking situation. VERY upset about that one....talk about a unexpected expense. Fanime should be warned that that may stop people from going next year. But it was fun otherwise!

Camino rocked! They were so fantastic last night. I got to be in the elevator with all of them this morning. I had to restain myself from going completly fan girl. Their guest relations manager was also in the elevator and told me how that they had knocked on his door very late last night/early this morning and kept asking for Vodka. I guess they really wanted to party after their successful show last night>.<

But Gaku fest rocked! That made the entire weekend worth it. I got the towel of Val, the drummer from Duel Jewl. XD They were awesome! Yaoi con night and bishie bingo was pretty fun too. Yay for fanservice!

I went as Baralai, and I was very disapointed to see not very many FFX-2 cosplayers. I would have thought that there would have been an onslaught of X-2 cosplayers, since it seems now everyone and their mother has made a Yuna, a Rikku or a Paine costume at this point. So I don't think a lot of people recognized me, since you have to actually play the game, to know who my character is. Though I got completly glomped by a group consisting of a Rikku, two Yuna's and a Paine. Scary, high-shrieking fangirlness.

Wee, so many awesome fanime stories. I cosplayed Mana from the Sakai no Chi to Bara song. ^^

At the dance on Saturday night, I was being stalked by some scary ass Asian guy (does anyone remember him from the dance?). Fortunately, I made friends with a cool guy named James who I occasionally hung out with for the rest of the con. He protected me from the scary Asian guy! :)

My big story was that on Sunday afternoon, A few people donated quarters to watch me play some simple DDR in my Paine costume. The stupid machiene had a glare, and the buttons were half broken... and only half the game worked ~,~;; It was depressing.

Oh, and I don't know if anyone saw, but for about 10 minutes in the dealer's room on Saturday during the afternoon, myself and 2 other Vash's bumped into each other and got caught in an ONSLAUGHT of pictures (over 2-dozen photographers that I could see). And the super-tall Vash actually slung me over his shoulder when I pretended to attack him. He almost fell a few times o.O)) And I got called Chibi-Vash cause I was the shortest ~,~

Friday was a little boring, I spent most of the day on Saturday at my boyfriend's graduation so I basically showed up around 5, wandered around the dealer's room for a bit and then went to Der Cosplay and went home ^^ Sunday and Monday were really awesome though. A lot of people complimented our costumes on Sunday, which made us very happy. Although some girls wanted to steal my Roger Smith ;_; The concert was fun, especially Camino ^o^ Monday was a good short day and Camino and their staff recognized our SMILE cosplay and I got them to sign my cd. *squeal*

NOT A FAN of the parking situation. VERY upset about that one....talk about a unexpected expense.

Tell me about it! @_@
This was my first time not staying at the con... so after driving over an hour through crappy East and South bay traffic it was a bit of a shock to find the outer lots full and the convention center lots closing at 11:30 pm! Although the CC lots were convenient for carrying out our boxes full of props on saturday, it was still a bit sad to know that we wouldn't be able to stay past a certain time.

How much was it for those staying at the hotels? I payed $10 each day. ~_~

Daitenshi: Yeah, the parking for the SJ Marriott was really bad.. On Thursday night when I got there, I paid only $4 so that was fine, and I left around 11:00pm to return to the Motel 6 I was rooming at just for TH night. (Imagine if I stayed at the Marriott PAST 11:30pm, I wouldn't have been able to get my car out (or pay a fee!) On Friday, I wouldn't mind paying $10 for all day at the CC parking lot, but having to make sure I moved my car BY 11:30pm was a major hassle, and so then I simply dropped the car off with the Marriott Valet, but still.. i do miss the free hotel guest parking at the Westin.. :(

I think I have basically the same thing to say as everyone else. Friday, had fun, crazyness trying to find Babbit-chan and meeting some new friends, being glomped when I was cosplaying my really sad version of Mr. Duo Maxwell. Saturday consisted of Der Cosplayness, and yelling for dearest Nessa to beat the crap out of the Grunty pinata! ( sp? ) We screamed Viva La Grunty, just to annoy her further, and made her hold our friends Grunty Plushie afterwards, to show no hard feelings.. ( yea, sure uh-huh. ) ..Sunday made it worth it, since for some reason Friday and Saturday was somewhat slow ( I was cosplaying Rimururu Saturday, if anyone wanted to know ) , since me and Babbit had talked to Camino and got their cd'ness on sat and thought they were really nice, and were intrested in seeing how they played, specially when I listend to the CD. So, we waited in line, and after some trouble ( u_u~ uuugh ) we got in, and we wanted everyone up in the first place when Camino got on ..but in the end, everyone was into it , and it was awesome, my new fav band! =) -- glad everyone enjoyed them. So, all in all the con was fun! [ Lucky YuffieK .. wish I had a bass to get signed by anyone xDDD )

Was anyone around for the Battle Royale Gathering? It was funny.. Babbit has some funny pictures I took.. I was being dumb xD... it was somewhat scary tho..they were all in line..uwaa. .xD. Hope everyone enjoyed!

I almost wasn't able to go because of confusion with my carpool (who cosplayed as a Zabuzo and Haku), but luckily with just four or so days to go I managed to land me a hotel room for $28 a night who turned out be really great guys and helped improve my con experience by a large margin by allowing me to tag along with them from time to time as opposed to me just wandering around by myself getting lost like usual.

I only had one costume available for the week, which was the Metal Gear Solid 2 Gurlukovich Soldier. First off, I have to say that standard issue Russian army boots suck. They dug painfully into my right ankle, cutting it, leaving a scar, and making it difficult to bend my foot. I walked around stiff legged (which didn't look too odd with the military getup) to avoid having to move my ankle too much. I eventually mitigated the whole ankle hurting problem by resorting to wearing 3 pairs of socks when in-costume.

I had a few people chatting with me about my helmet and camoflauge and how I came about them, but I think photo-wise I was hard pressed to compete with the other two more generically-dressed but exclamation-point-equipped MGS soldiers wandering the halls. Next year I'll have to get myself a decent exclamation point and if things go well, perhaps even a resin copy of the AKS74U shown in the games, with a working flashlight attached to the barrel. But overall, I'm pretty happy with how everything went.

Regarding costumes, I checked out the various prop and costume making panels by Hi-Impact and found them very informative. What's even better, is one of their members actually lives in the same city as me, so I'm going to get in touch with him over the summer and hopefully get some assitance and such on the Halo UNSC Marine costume I'm planning, so that's something to work on till next year.

I got around to watching watching Naruto during the marathon on friday night, and also checked out all the Naruto cosplayers crazy antics on Sunday. I'm half tempted to set aside some time to work on a Dosu costume just so I'll have an excuse to participate if next year's anything like it was this time. But first would need to borrow some of my friend's Naruto videos so I'll know more about the whole series, then have to try and enlist their help on how to go about making a costume. And Halo Marine still has top priority.

Overall, great con, and next year seems waaaay too far away at the moment. Bah, I suppose I'll settle back into normal routine given a week or two.

Umm, actually PikminLink and I started the whole Final Fantasy gathering. Because me and her were complaining that we didn't know when and where the gathering was suppose to be because obviously nobody arranged it well enough. Then we grabbed ahold of Cid and all three of us started walking around saying that we would snag any FF cosplayer and soon we were a whole troop standing by the tables. Then after we got a handful of ppl we decided to move it outside to the fountain.

Many stories. Hanging out with a huge group of new friends, who happened to be friends of Megatokyo's Dom and Ed. I got to hang out with both of them, and see Ed get drunk XD.

The Karaoke contest was boring except for two guys I met at the con singing Wannabe-Spice Girls. I heard the story of how they found the loop hole for that. It's pretty funny.

Watching one of the guys that sang, own up in Guilty Gear Igzechs everytime he went down to the arcade with May and Ky. He told me I was pretty good, well his exact words were "I've only seen 3 other people at this con that could beat you, and 1 of them is my friend".

I got to meet Young and Natsuki from Nekobox.org. Young even let me put on his Ed arm from HagaRen. @____@ it's so nice. Young was easilly the best Ed of the con.

Piro from Megatokyo getting scared of Ed and the Guilty Gear guy messing around on Saturday night. It was so funny watching Piro get freaked out because they were doing stupid things with their clothes.

Fanime was fun, well worth the drive from Vegas. Made a huge group of new friends, and a pretty cute guy that is good at fighting games and his girlfriend. A guy that looks like Johnny Depp @____@, Dom and Ed, and a circle of friends that I will now be talking to. Meeting new people that hate people is awesome. This being my first con, there were very many un-attractive people, not that I believe myself to be very attractive, all over the place. Most cosplayers are terrible. It makes me not want to finish my first costume(Yakuza ver. Yankumi from Gokusen) because I think i'll look just as bad as most of the cosplayers I saw. It's fun just to hang out with friends and meet new people though. The con itself was boring, the environment was fun.

Omg O.O;...

I just realized how many of you I probably talked to >_<;. I was the staff member working backstage at the masq in the white tank (I didn't have time to change to something black... I was drafted at the last minute from Dealer's Room Staffing that day) crewing and running sweeps across the stage between acts (ie, one of the "Stage Ninjas").

Not much happened cosplay tale wise as I was too busy these past few weeks to finish my alternate colour May cosplay T.T... My anchor was mostly done (just needed fiberglass and then a new coat of paint), though. I had my sewing machine in my hotel room so I could work on the costume when I had free time, lol! If you went by the Fanime Con booth table in the Dealer's Room on Saturday and saw the giant silver anchor... that was my anchor, lol!

I was a bit weirded out when I was waiting for Dave to get the doors to the Dealer's Room open cause someone asked for a photo O_o;... I was all, "You do know I'm not in costume >.>;... right?" But she didn't care... *shrug* Oh well =/. So someone has a pic of me in normal clothes, those kitty ears Yaoi-Con was selling, and my shiny anchor, lol!

I have a few complaints about the masq that are mostly stuff that none of you have control over, lol! Only thing that bothered me was the masq participants who were telling us a couple acts before theirs where a prop and/or set piece went >_<. I used to hate Hell Weeks (Tech Week)... but I would have killed for one for the masq.

I'm happy, though... I'm officially Masq staff next year for Fanime =3. Woot!

Anywho, all of you who were in the masq did great ^_^! I had a lot of fun working with all of you (sorry that I didn't recognize pretty much all of you ^^;.) ^-^!

Congrats to all the masq winners =D!

Aside from the incredible quantity and quality of Rose of Versailles recognitions on Friday (where did all these fans come from? And why couldn't they have been in Boston?), I must say my favorite moment was during my skit with Nanuri.
We did the "Rocky Clover Picture Show" thing, and the reaction after the "....skillful" line really made my night. And the people that did the clapping during the song. Yay for Rocky fans at anime conventions!

I had a great time at this con... it was my first 4 day anime convention, and I really liked having the extra day. It felt very laid back and nice.

I've turned into a camino fan girl. XD

of course stupid me realized a little too late, while I was wondering around at 5 in the morning with no sleep I was talking to two of them. Someone please shoot me.

Me and Yami are soooo addicted to that drummermania game. We would go to the game room at like 3-4 in the morning so we could play it while everyone was asleep.

I envy Yami for she got Duel Jewels autographs on her Gloomy bear (which I shall be stealing!!)

XD Can't wait for next years fanime!!!

Thanks HazelAsher ^o^ I still need to work on my makeup application 'tho, it came out all uneven and it didn't help that heat made my skin dry ~.~

One of the best surprises at the convention was winning a decent prize at the anime game show (some guy won expired food!), but the best surprise was waiting for me at home. My parents bought me a sewing machine ^o^ A real one... with different stitches and the reverse function *too happy* Er... the ghetto machine I was working with before was technically a mending machine and I never did figure out how to make it run in reverse o.O;

I missed Der Cosplay because I had gone to the damn dance. I didn't go, really...I kinda was dragged. So I missed those cool skits...

But Fanime was AWESOME! I loved everything about it! It was my first cosplay, so I was like "eeeeee..." the whole entire time. I didn't stop to eat or sleep really. Enough to sustain myself and keep myself standing up right [and this doesn't count dizziness] and I glomped TONS of Vashs.

My online friends from Washington found me! <3 So we went and sang Karaoke. That one of the highlights of Saturday... And then on Monday, we (friends. :D) got really bored and started a game of "Ninja Ninja Anbu" (Duck Duck Goose, but with shinobi) and I got tackled by a Kamui. I think I have a bruise on the back of my head from that.

I was at Fanime for all of 1.5 hours as The Bride on Monday. :) Got to rampage a bit in the dealers room I mean see friends I was hoping to see, so that was good. ^^

If they keep holding Fanime on BayCon weekend (the weekend that BayCon has been held on for 22 years now), it'll just have to be this way. Too bad. I've been going to BayCon for 11 years, and it really is too good for me to pass up.

See y'all at AX / Ani-Magic / Yaoi-con!

Well I had a good time for about half the time >.<. Friday was karaoke contest and Saturday was Der Cosplay. After Der Cosplay, I found out my kids were sick, so I wasn't able to bring them back on Sunday, which wouldn't have mattered anyways, since I got sick that same night >.<. So I completely missed Sunday/Monday. I'm upset about that, but hey, some things you just can't help. My girls were upset that they weren't able to come to the con, but I WILL be bringing them to AX and so THAT will be their first con *hopefully*.

Yea we missed you. I was so sad for you and your girls when Jenny told me that you got sick. :(
I'm glad though that you made it through the masquerade...

OOoo I also got to meet Hitori and go on her picnic. That was definitly fun.
I met a lot of really awesome people this year. Eurobeat King was awesome and K Valentine was sooooo nice! (you guys might not recongize my sn but I was the Kakyuu and Digiko). ^_^
It was just a blast.
I had more fun this year than the previous years. I'm sooo happy! And I got to see for the first time the AMV Finals! Karoke contest! I just tried new stuff that I never used to do and get the full feeling of fanime!

This was my first anime convention, and I was really pleased with my experience. I made a few new friends, saw some fantastic costumes, bought a few things, and had a lot of fun wearing my costume. It was very comfy, though I did get sunburned during the 10 minutes I was outside in the sun for the group photo. I burn hideously fast, so Testament will definitely be an indoor or nighttime costume. With all the fun I had though, I'm really looking forward to AX.

Super kewl! This was my second Fanime and it was a great trip, driving up from Los Angeles was a bit tiring though x.o

Let's see, highlights had to be:

- Naruto gathering was soooo fun :) Sweet pics with 3 other Haku's yes yes
- Saturday evening, got dressed up in "uniform" and trolled convention hall and dealer's room with all my friends also in uniform x.o marching in two rows, clanging my staff... yeah, a bit crazy XD
- Getting to be in an audience for a showing of X:Y? at Midnight on Saturday. Extremely thrilled we got a lot of laughs :)
- cramming into a single hotel room with... er... over-flowing capacity of bodies. And yet, managing NOT to make it smell atrocious! Miraculous!

But yes, very fun con! Oh, Al, do you have pics of the Naruto gathering up?

Highlights of my con experience:

Friday: Seeing the Shaman King gathering and getting some stuffu signed that I wanted to get signed and meeting up with friends! Also chasing after someone to get my plushies back ^^;
Saturday: Watching Der Cosplay and the PoT gathering!
Sunday: NINJA NINJA ANBU and the Naruto gathering in general! Also the GetBackers gathering was loads of fun ^_^
Monday: Hanging out with friends again and the Gravi gathering ^^

Overall lots of fun and met lots of nice new people! I think I'll be coming back next year ^_^

i had a blast, i felt like a stranger in town for awhile, but that's where the magic of cosplay lets you get to know people :)

i enjoyed being in the theatre for the cosplay, it was like, omg i am a thespian whore! but i think i gave one of my best performances that night

i hope to be able to come next year, i'll be here on cp.c if needed :)

Hope you can come back to Fanime, Sakura-chan! *gives you brownies* ^_^v

Fanime 2004 was just was wonderful as last year. I admit, the con had it's low points (mainly there wasn't any events that I was interested in or lack there of), but the good outweighed it in the end. I think this was the first con I've been to in four years that I've actually can say I've actually seen something in a video room. Got some of that Redeath and Nescaflowne goodness! Truly spiffy seeing friends again and experiencing the madness all around. Only real gripe was the maps for food places. Some of the eateries were not labled correctly and there were cheaper venues not listed on the map.

Look out for my con report comin' sometime this weekend! AX shall be the next stop for Nadeshiko. ^^

Man I had so much fun at Fanime this year, I met some new people and I meet up with my friends from school, plus it was my first time cosplaying on friday I was the only Shinsengumi cosplayer and then I saw about 5 more, I was like cool, I'm not the only one. I took pictures of them. I even went the the Rurouni Kenshin gathering as the Shinsengumi Saito. The dealers room was bigger than last year, I was able to buy rare stuff, Saturday I was great too, I took alot of pictures, and some people took pictuers of me I was able to watch my friend play DDR and all the other games they had and plus I watched my friend again doing some Karaoke when he was drunk lol late at night . The only thing I didn't like is that they didn't put that many games, but it all good I was able to play some the games. Sunday it was awesome especially on sunday night the Hentai Marathon, I was laughing so hard I couldn't pay addition on the story because the guys making up jokes, and my friend was the one who brought up HORSE! in the room, and everybody was laughing even me and so everytime when the horse shows up everybody said HORSE!, it was funny, Monday was great too, I was able to buy more rare stuff I even bought Katana. I was going to show it off but I couldn't show the blade so I use my two small fake swords. Yeeeeaaaahhhh I had fun, I register again for next year, well see ya guys next year. and I know it's going to get better and better.

Yeah first west coast con for me ^^ Least got to meet people more like the last days of it heh. People there like wanted my trenchcoat as if they never saw one before.. one offered to even pay for it. I was amused. I actually showed up to one photoshoot. Didn't expect to but did for the Gravitation one. Bought so much stuff... Watchin people played duck duck goose was funny I should of jumped in. Got a clip of the guy throwing toliet paper in the circle. Whats fun was my friends and I trying to entertain ourselves most of the con. It was more fun being away from it as it seemed. Oh well. Least it was fun somewhat hehe.

I had fun xD just about the best weekend I ever had so far. lol. Though lots of running around >__> Not that I really mind xD I'd rather be busy than bored.
Lots of hanging out with people, manning AX booth, and trying to help out where ever I could ^^;;;

Still can't believe J. Shanon Weaver came to the AX booth XD lol, kept running into each other..but the best time I ran into him was when he was singing the english version of Freckles at karaoke. rofl, priceless.
I'm still all wibbly over music fest concert. oh Yuya~ Kiwamu~! <3 kinda crazy there, but I'm just glad I wasn't in the mesh of girls crowding the alses ^^;
umm, I got to shake hands with all the band members from Camino, Duel Jewel and Blood. Poor Yuya was all tired and hot, I had to give him my cup of ice x3
and I'm so proud of you Al, getting your name out there~! hehe.

friday and monday were kinda dead. though it was pretty funny while hanging out with traveling valentine, of which they found some amusing err..."literature" left on one of the hotel lobby tables. XD

Lionel had the best expression on his face when he got surprised that there was an actual AX booth. oh happy day XD

thank you, shanoko & coco for letting me use your press badges for a little bit XD;;
Al & I nearly died laughing at the rabid killing furry..thing skit. A lot of the skits were great, Daitenshi's ripped off pants was genius. Dammit Janet, I got a kick out of the Rocky Clover Picture Show. kinda sad not a whole lot of people got it ;( Will is the best card captor sakura ever XD
damn, marriott's resturant was expensive...but that was the best food I ever ate. guwah.
umm, general dorkage. like the advertising of cotton pocky. hehe.
Ramen & Rice were awesome as usual x3
and uhh..probably a lot of other things I can't remember at the moment @__@
I think I got sick XD lack of sleep and spazing can't be too much of a good thing. lol

can't wait for AX, I'm probably gonna be a whole lot more busy. wah, no sleep for me T_T

Yeah, last year had a better dealer's room, but this year was way more fun.
I don't think anything will ever beat out Ninja Ninja Anbu.

I agree that last year had a better dealers room but I can understand why. There were two other major anime cons going on so all the dealers that are in mid america or back east are going to go to the closer con which wasn't us. I loved the con but just wish it wasn't on the same weekend as a bunch of other ones.

Weeee I had so much fun at fanime this year. Last year was my first year and this was my 2nd but first time cosplaying. I went as Ivy from soul caliber 2 the 2p costume. I was surprised how many people knew who I was and some got me confused with another anime character. 13 hours in 4 inch heels did it to me though! I also had made my bf a priest jacket and he went as him self in that jacket and it was even more entertaining to hear people guess who he was...:) I loved looking at all the costumes and thinking about all the time spent putting them togetheer....so many people...so many costumes...it makes a costume designer so happy to see people dress up! Der cosplay was fun too...Makes me want to enter it next year

Man i wish my pictures were working...i really want to post them! Anyway Im looking forward to next year, I already have my costumes picked out! :)

+panda+ <----still has shivers from seeing so many wonderful costumes!

lessee..
had much fun with minimal, cheap-O cosplay (making props out of Hilton Stationary and duct tape! whee!) Met some new people, realized I would have met so much more if I bothered to post more than a couple times a year.... >.<()
Watching the kareoke contest was fun, the "spice girls" cracked me up. And the topless bishie twister was amusing, and then sunday hentai was hilarious. Allthough I didn't get the horse thing... I didn't want to see horse action...

anyways, it was a lot of fun, a lot of sleep deprivation, and I can't wait until next year!

Also PMX was happening. We had a lot of dealers we would have normally gotten decide to go there instead.

Meh, their loss =P. Many of our dealers made a killing at Fanime ^-^.

From what I'm understanding next year Fanime (will be same weekend as it was this year) and PMX (I've heard Labor Day Weekend... but I could be wrong) are different weekends so that conflict shouldn't happen. And since we now have the space to hold more dealers... ^_^v.

I don't know if it was mentioned, but there were more dealers this year than last year. I think I heard 107 or 108... somewhere around there ^^;.

Wow that many? I guess when your there is doesn't seem like it. It sure looked like each dealer did super well though. I was there on Friday and then by Sunday everyone was very limited in what they had left. I was really surprised in how much everyone sold but it's a good thing because they will all be back next year along with others who wish they had sold there! Yay for the dealers room! :rockon:

Where do I start?

Friday I guess, ok so its friday....I haven't slept for about five hours and it turns out I should have just done that. Me and my room mate are ready for this con. Badges bought, room reserved, and rides set with stuff packed day early.....except he forgets to mention......he needs to pick up money from his parents to pay for everything..........................and with a nack for prodicting outcomes......((sorry if I miss spell alot)) I was right when I said, "its going to take two hours for you to get it and for us to get knowing your parents. And so the journey to get money begins....not bad but I wish I got food that morning. So we get there and we are ready for our room....that we have to wait for some what, so I feel like looking around and getting my badge or atleast attempt to get it and sneak around seeing who is who and where everyone is. So I dawn my new...$144 Ninja outfit....and go about looking around....of course everyone again thinks I work at the con and start asking me to help them....eh it was neat to atleast go around and have one out of well whoever was there know who I was even though I was well hidden....props to Al. Well room is bought and everything is up there, now I just needed to get into a new outfit so I can go look around, so I do. I get into my some what finished Young Walter outfit. It was some what finished, still needs more done though. So I head down and wonder about. Place really was odd at first but than I headed for the Dealers room and walked around somemore, than met up with my friends Lezly and Kathy, two of my best friends. Lezly brought her baby with her and I got to watch over him for a bit....I felt like a dad for awhile as some people asked me how old my kid was........I'm 21, not ready for a child. After hanging out with them for awhile I saw my X........Sydeny.......in an outfit I wish she never had dawn.....A Mai outfit......if you look at Al's pics....look for a blonde Mai.....and you'll understand. In anycase she begged me to walk around with her and than asked me if I brought any KOF outfits....So after telling her about my Slayer King, I went up and changed, not bad for a first time wear. Though I felt weird wearing a sports braw and stuffing the hell out of it to get a C size....I think it was a C. So after awhile of wearing that and than meeting up with others such as Omi and Ken and also a few others I headed for the Dance, where I raved and breaked dance.....and I couldn't believe the crowd. Even though I'm a novice at times to things I felt really at home doing all the things I did and getting people cheering and than after that night giving me props at the dance....I sort of head a headache afterwards from the air in the room....though I was also wearing a mask. But it was fun.

Saturday was interesting to see coming, I got to meet Hidle Chan and a few of my new cosplay friends. It was fun finding out who Hilde Chan was when we talked about Inicial D. I went to the cosplay.com gathering and met up with some more people I know. It was really fun getting to see Jeff in his Fighter outfit and his GF in black mage. I hanged out with them for a bit got a sword. Heheheh its funny, it matched the outfit in so many ways, though King would never use a weapon to fight. So as the day wond down, I went upstairs and got into my Ninja outfit that I was going to wear for the Masq. Yes, I was the Ninja in the Der Cosplay, one word....SMOKE. So that was neat walking over to. I later met up with PikMinLink, and really out of the blue getting to hang out with her and help her with her first Masq. ever. She was going to do a walk on and just go up and show off, but she would like to do more so I helped her with a small bit of moves. She did so well and learning in such little time, I'm happy to know that she had fun. It was funny though when my group went on. I thought for sure someone would had saw me walking behind the FX man with the sheet. Though since no one did, I got amazing props for appearing out of no where. the skit was rushed but all the stuff I did, I was so worried I was going to fall. Though I didn't and we finished, I still had a great time regardless if I one or not.

Sunday felt so worn down I was thinking the day was over or something but it wasn't. I met up with Hilde Chan and talked for a bit before she was supposivly leaving than after debating it over she decided to stay behind and get a ride back later. I offered if she wanted to stay in the room with me and such and she did so....than later we dressed as Prince of Tennis characters........I didn't know what I was getting myself into, pretty much alot. I thought I was going to wear pants.....no Shorts...but I dont own shorts..........she does.............small ones...........and I had to do more than just wear them............but it was fun though I felt so out of place. Later I met up with more friends of Hilde Chan's and also met some other fun people. The day wond down again but I had a bit of a bad night, wont go into it but honestly it really didn't feel good getting pulled over by cops and being bothered for nothing.

Monday was so terrible I felt like the leaving that morning, till someone I met Sunday showed up and we hanged out the whole day, and that really made my day better, even when I was pulled aside and was having my X tell me I was stalking her through out the con....funny thing was, enough people saw me that I was no where near her half the time. So I was happy to just laugh in her face and walk off. I was planning to stay at the con till it ended but when Brandy's mom showed up, she offered me to go with her to a BBQ.....ok asain mom, offering to a new friend of her daughter to a BBQ.....thats a bit odd. But it was great, after that I went back home and fell asleep for 12hrs....now I might have Zell Dicht moving in at some time and also getting my job finaly so I can get AX and well other cons later on ready.

That was alot.....now I feel a bit out of it, or yeah con quotes

"When Renegade Pocky sees this she's going to flip." Al "Or trap shot." me
"Cotton pocky anyone?" Friend
"Spin the Tampon bottle." Friend
this was to me and I mean it so Renegade Pocky I know how you feel, "Five dollor drink or kiss?"......I picked the drink......dont ask.
"So whats your name?" Con go're "Chris" Me "wait....your a guy? cute." Con go're

Fanime was my first con and I had soooooo much fun! I got to see someone cosplaying as Android 17 who is one of my top fav characters. Too bad I wasn't cosplaying as Bra or I would of glomped him lol.

My friends made me hug a sephiroth cuz they know he's my fav character. I even named my car Sephy. I know I'm sad lol.

It was fun watching my friend who cosplayed as Gendo get glomped all the time. Everywhere we went people would say "It's Gendo!" and we didn't know why till we found out they showed the Eva Fan sub Redeath where gendo's a pimp.

Looking back on it we should of tied him up and put a sign on him that said "Glomp Gendo $2" jk

I enjoyed having my picture taken with my friend who was cosplaying as Sakura since I was cosplaying as Sumire. I also enjoyed the Funimation booth since they're releasing the Sumire special and the lady at the booth was really nice since I was dressed as Sumire.

I saw so many great cosplayer and all so nice! I want to go again! I'm hooked! On cons and cosplaying!

Well, to piggyback on Ali's thing, I really loved the... skillfull way... ;) the audience responded to our Rocky Clover Picture Show thing. Which, by the by, can be found at http://www.voiceacting.co.uk/nanuri/Fanime04_Masquerade.htm.

Pluggage aside though... another defining moment was when Dom of Megatokyo fan asked me if my costume was from One Piece. And I was dressed as CLAMP's "Suu" from Clover. XD!

Fanime Con was awsome! It was my first con and I was so excited. I really wanna go again. I didn't go on friday or monday, but I did go on saturday and sunday. I almost didn't want to go because my parents were being bitches.

Saturday: On Saturday I got there at 8:30 pm. I decided to interview a couple of cosplayers, and show it to the anime club to rub it in all the freshmen's faces. First, introduced myself as An Pham from JFK high school vice president of the anime club. Second, I ask their names and where they're from. Third, I asked a few questions like 'Is this your first time here at fanime' 'What got you into anime 'What are you looking forward to' 'Why did you dressed up like this character' blah blah blah. Fourth, I asked them to do a brief imitation of the character they were cosplaying. I met this one Neji cosplayer who knew someone from school. He was nice. And I made friends with a Love Hina cosplayer. Afterwards, the dealers room opened. I practically fainted at all the merchandise. I went on a shopping rampage and bought anything I could afford. I'm broke now ;_;. Then I went around and took about 11 pictures, because my film only had 11 shots. I met the creator of megatokyo and he signed my shirt! I even got to interview him!!! After a while I met up with the rest of the anime club members and we hanged out for a bit. At the end I went to the Yaoi-Con booth for the raffle. I didn't win. Damn. Then I went home at 6:00 so I didn't get to see the Der cosplay.

Sunday: Sunday was great! I didn't interview anyone, but I borrowed my sister's camera and took a ton of pictures. I went to the dealers room to spend what money I had left. I also went to one of the panels and discussion rooms and met the great teacher Largo who is teaching us the ways of L33t. He was funny as hell. I remember when he asked some people to come up on stage to pass out quizzes and this one girl sitting next to me kept jumping up and down to get his attention. She got it all right, and ran right up stage, until she tripped and fell. Then Largo had to carry her back LOL. Afterwards, I saw these two people dressed as Hinata and Neji playing violins and a cello aka Ramen and Rice. They were really good and they didn't need notes and stuff. Then I spotted some Naruto cosplayers playing 'Shuriken' and I took a whole bunch of pictures. I kept asking them for poses, like have team 7 fight for ramen, or beat up Kakashi, and other silly pictures. While I was resting, I spotted Duel Jewel heading for the dealers room and ran right after them. I got Shun to sign my shirt!!! And I got a picture of Shun and Hayato!!! I also got a picture of BLOOD! And I even got a hug from them!!!! I swear I was gonna die right then and there! Unfortunately, my batteries ran out for my digital, so I couldn't get anymore pictures. note to self: When bringing a digital camera to a con, bring recharger and look for an electric socket.

GakuFest: GakuFest was sooooooo coooolll!!!! First to perform was the beautiful losers. They were okay, but not the best performance. Next was Tamaki Nami. I have to admit for a 15 year-old she has a lot of energy and she was so cute!!! She's only my age and she's already this famous. Next up, Camino! I'm in love with them!!! I practically ran in front of the stage just to see them up close! Jun is so sexy!!! Duel Jewel took a long time to come out. They were practically teasing us. When they finally did come out we went wild! I'm so a rabid Duel Jewel fan now. Too bad I didn't get to see BLOOD perform, because I had to go home. I did get an autograph from Camino and a hug!!!! I'm so going next year!! And I'm going to cosplay for the first time! Fanime roxs!!!

We ran out of cards for everyone, even when we mixed two decks together.. and played the Naruto version of Duck Duck Goose: Ninja Ninja Anbu.

..ah, memories of rugburn. ^^;

Jeans-san, you were the pocky box? XD Our Zabuza hugged you at one point.

*Shakes fist* Yeah well that sucked for Link and I cause we were all by our selves while you guys were hanging out with all the Naruto people >.O SO hurtful. Seriously what were we suppost to do, join in? Yeah I know I was Sheik but it still wouldn't have helped. (for every other random person I know this person and I am still very pissed ^^) Although if it weren't for the ditchiness we wouldn't have met Dark Link and found out how mean the other Links were (to us at least).
