I can't find any really light foundation anywhere! I don't want white.. but I want one to be a couple shades lighter than my already pale skin. I've looked at so many brands.. loreal, maybelline, etc. but couldn't found one..

Do you know a brand that makes a very light foundation? Please help ^^;

I've never tried it, but I would suggest Amphigory (yes the same site that many of us get our wigs from). I know that their things are at least quality. Their site is at www.amphigory.com ... they also have a line of very light foundations at http://www.amphigory.com/foundation_illusion.html .

Amphigory is a really popular site here on the boards I agree that you should go there.

umm... just a question - what do you need it for?

if you apply a liquid foundation that's lighter in color than your natural skintone it will sink into your fine lines (everyone has them, i'm not talking about wrinkles) and look unnatural and weird...

If you want a light foundation that covers well and is located in the drugstore, I once again reccomend...Max Factor! Its made for use on film and TV. I usually couldn't find foundation that covers well that is pale but not white. Im pretty pale and I came across a great color called "Pale Porcelain" (Number 4) Its pale but has pink and yellow undertones in it to prevent you from looking white. I think it would do well. And if it dosen't work, then try Amphigorey or expensive-er makeup stores. I think this would be a good cheap $$ experiment before you tried anything else.

A company called Shiseido also makes really light foundations and the like - it's Japanese based, so it's got the wonderful "pale" line. I remember a friend in high school telling me it was all she could find to match her quite white skintone.

I haven't used it (far from pale, myself), but it's supposed to be good quality. Not sure where you'd buy it - I don't think average drug stores carry it, b/c it is more costly.

Their webpage: http://www.shiseido.co.jp/com/ (Shiseido worldwide). Just the Japanese page is without the /com/

it's also the brand that Mana-sama uses...I don't know if they pay him to say that or something but He mentions it in every interview when people ask him what brand he uses....

I can hardly find foundation that matches me because I'm pale skinned and sometimes, even the lightest color is too dark for me, and I'm not the lightest person I've seen!

Max Factor (the MAN) was a Hollywood makeup artist and a legend. However, the line that is carried in the drugstores is owned by Proctor & Gamble and is no longer legally affiliated with the Factor family in anyway. In fact, his grandsons have started a makeup line called Smashbox, which imho is just an overpriced mediocre line of "average" quality products.
