Silver skin would look cool; Either a silver or a pink (darker pink than wings!) wig would go, though I suggest trying on the wigs at least in proximity to pieces of the outfit to see the general effect.

I don't see that the skirt looks big and bulky, but that's just one photo. If those velvety parts on the waist area come off, they would provide less distraction; if not, don't worry.

I think the wings would look even better if they were silver instead of pink (cool color to go with the blue, instead of pink which is warm), but a 3-color ensemble can work too.... (I am just not personally a fan of the strong cobalt blue / pale fairy-pink combo, but your color preferences certainly may vary.)

You might try silver trim on the dress, & perhaps gauzy / lacy / ribbony pieces flowing off the sleeves, in pink or silver. And perhaps use contrasting ribbons in your hair (Silver & blue on pink wig, or pink & blue on silver wig.)

I suggest a different choice of footwear, too. Or at least that photo makes them look like white garden sandals.

I love the wings. Awesome! Did you make them yourself?

As for the outfit itself... I personally think the skirt is too long. I don't know if you want to alter the garment or not, though.. but if so, perhaps hemming it so it's just above the knees, and maybe adding in pink and silver and light blue crinoline mesh (forgot what it's called! tulle?) underneath, longer than the skirt, also cut jaggedy?

And you could add more at the sleeves, where the light, see-thru dark blue is coming out. Adding in some pinky-blue-silver, in longer, free-flowing pieces would be neat, I think. It would tie in the pieces under the skirt (should you add them), and the wing color.

You could also do what a friend did once to an outfit she had, and that was throw on a corset-like piece on top of her shirt. It looked really cool.

I agree with Karisu-sama; a dark but still bright pink wig would look really neat. And perhaps instead of all over silver, you could do something like on Drew's face in Ever After, when she's the butterfly? And maybe designs on your hands and feet, sorta like henna?

To the sandals, perhaps ribbons of matching color, or dyed silk flowers? A flower crown? Ribbon choker with a single flower on it? (just don't go too overboard).

Good luck with everything!

I think I might add something with another color to the dress. The solid color doesn't seem very fairy-ish to me. I think if you did that it might help the overall look a lot.

If I was to do a pink wig, would you suggest short, long? straight or curly?

I was thinking shortish, and sorta 'messy-spikey' (not Tina Turner like)... sorta like how they draw shorter, wavy hair in cartoons (impossible, I know...). Short over the ears, a little longer and wavy on top. That's just how I picture most fairies, though. Sorta spunky.

However, I think you should wear the dress to the wig store, and bring the wings. See what looks good - that's probably the best idea, because then you'll be sure to find a style and color that give the effect you want.

I agree with Karisu-sama, silver skin would look cool. I love the wings though, I want them! lol ^_^. I do think that the dress could be styled a bit differently, but overall I think it looks great. good job ^_^
