i was hoping i could figure this one out on my own... but i'd like some tips from ther experts that float around here. i'm a girl cosplaying as Naruto (http://img45.photobucket.com/albums/v139/AimForMyHead666/onlinepictures/naruto5.jpg) for my first convention, and i'm trying to figure out what make-up i should use to kinda of "empahsize" the eyes. does anyone have any ideas?
[just to note, i know all the basics on foundation, but my skin gets oilily really fast, anyway to control this for long periods of time? anything u can get from just a drugstore?]
i know theres a thread for males wearing make up, but it seems most tips lean towards older male cosplay, than those cosplaying as children or young teen characters, so i created this thread.

I tout the virtues of Clean N' Clear blotting papers!! They come in lil packs of 50. You just pat it all over your face, and it sucks the oil off without mucking your makeup. You can then apply a fresh powder, without it getting cakey.
A Link for you (http://www.cleannclear.com/products/finishers/oil_absorb.shtml) (not the hot elf-boy sort, only the URL sort ^_^)
I think you're in danger of making your eyes too effeminite if you try to emphasize them. I think if you concentrate on nude tones of shadow, you'll be okay. Just brighten, don't color.

I'd take a darker nude-shade, and apply it to your lid (with a little under your eye). Then take a Q-tip or even your finger, and even out the colour so it gradually blends in with your natural skin colour. I'd take a picture after you've done it to take a good look at it.
Hope that helped!

i have seen some people use a little bit of a lighter eyeliner and extend their lower eyelid out in a straight line instead of curving back up to meet the upper lid, and then applying white eye liner/shadow to the outside corner of the eye and making it look more like the anime style eye...it certainly looks interesting.
you can try that to see if it looks too feminine, but i think it would look pretty cool.
