View Full Version : covering up birth marks

Okay I have a dark brown 3 inch long 1.5 inch wide birth mark on my right upper knee. And I was kinda wondering if anybody would know how to cover up a birth mark like that? Because the costume that I'm working on currently requires me to show that part of my leg. Because people who usually see my birthmark think that I got into some kind of accident are something. Any advice would be greatly appreciated :) .

There's a kind of makeup called Dermablend that's designed specifically to cover tattoos and birthmarks and stuff like that. It's available at theatrical and makeup supply stores, and I think some department stores might also carry it.

Yup, you usually find it near the Lancome counter in dept. stores.

If you look up some threads about "covering up scars" you might find some more tips to help you.

I know how you feel- I've got a purple keloid scar on my knee that I need to hide whenever I wear skirts.... it's so annoying when people are like "omg - what happened?" :p
