*sigh* No doubt nearly everyon on the forum has seen at least one Lulu cosplay. It's nasty hard, right down to the makep.

Well, I've done the costume, but I've never been satisfied with my lipstick. Problem one: my lip are naturally very rose colored, and if the "purple" lipstick contains any red whatsoever it turns fuscia on me. :miffed: I've tried blending foundation or coverup onto my lips, and that gets the real color on, but it then likes to smear. If I use lipstick "fixer" then it makes my color crack and get darker at the cracks.

I've tried the eveshadow technique to limited results, it likes to just slide off my lips.

Doesn't ANYONE make a true purple lipstick? It can't be very dark purple, though, another problem I have found. :bigcry:

Here's (http://www.game-jigoku.com/temp/lulu_lips.jpg) A pic of just Lulu's lip color.

I haven't found the perfect lipstick for lulu either, but I did this blending thing with two lipsticks that made it look like a metallic version of her lips. What I did was put silver color lipstick on first then I took this purplelish color one(it was kinda dark in color) and I put it over the silver and I got purple color lips like lulu. The only part that was wrong was that it looked kinda glittery but at least the color was right. Anyway I hope that kinda helps

Angst is a really good true purple, IMHO. I have really pigmented lips, as well. It didn't turn fushia on me, even though most plum/purple lipsticks do on me. This also has a nice subtle metallic sheen, like lulu has. It's worth trying, at least. It looks sort of bright and scary in the tube, but since it's "semi-sheer" it doesn't show up as so flashy/sparkley. I hope I helped a little.. ^^;;

Plum Dandy by MAC is worth trying out although it might be too shimmery for Lulu.

I have a really nice purple one-- Violet Light by Revlon. I wear it all the time even though it's a dark purple.

Can anyone recommend one for Lenne? Preferably in a gloss, but a normal stick is fine if that what's I have to do to get the right color.

Holy cow! I just happended to go into Walgreen the other night (all their cosmetics are on sale, btw) and happened to stumble across the *perfect* Lulu lipstick.

It was in a batch of "limited edition" Sally Hansen lipsticks, all of which were on sale for a dollar. 1$! None of the lipsticks had any description stickers on the bottom (they were actually being covered by another sticker) Once I peeled it off, it's called "Triple Moist Lipstick With Vitamin E: Sweet Violet Frost". And I'll be darned if it doesn't go on true to color on the first swipe. The only bad thing about it (I'm guessing its due to the "moist" factor) it's consistency is mope like chapstick than true long-lasting lipstick. After a few hours it kinda absorbs into your lips, so another coat is needed to color your lips again.

Allison: I did some looking into you Lenne lip gloss question. I think Revlon's Super lustrous lipgloss should help you. I think the Shine That Pink (http://revlon.com/product.asp?ProductID=26467&Mode=catalog) color would be best. For reference here's (http://www.game-jigoku.com/temp/lenne_lips.jpg) a pic of Lenne's lips.

that picture is from an art work (http://lenne.nu/ren/scans/04.jpg), right? i don't trust much in the colors and textures from art works, whether it's about make-up or about fabrics. it's in the game that you see what they are like, ya know?

i found some some in-game pictures that may help: 1 (http://lenne.nu/ren/fmvscreens/092.jpg), 2 (http://lenne.nu/ren/fmvscreens/083.jpg). *
i think that Lenne's lips are kind of a mix between a light pink, and a very light purple. it's somewhere in the middle.

allison: unfortunately i did not find any link to a lip gloss or even a lipstick. however, i can give you a little advice: if you don't find a lip gloss in the right color, try find a very light purple lipstick, and then add a "colorless" lip gloss. that might do the trick.

*If you just click, the image won't appear (at least not in my computer). anyway, you can use a little trick of mine (most of the time works with yahoo/geocities, too): click at the end of the url, and insert a "space" (just press the space bar), and after that just press enter (on your keypad).

For Lenne, I use a light pinkish color lipstick, then to make the glossy effect, simply apply clear gloss.

Hmm, for my Lulu cosplay, I bought some Urban Decay lipstick that I like a lot

I think it was only 7 bucks, I'd reccomend it! But good to hear you found a less expensive alternative!

Wah! I knew this was about Lulu.

The one I always use is called "Unforgettable" by (I think its) Revlon. Its a matte finish- its not one of those "Lasts for 3 days!!!" kinds. Its in a kinda clunky red tube. Its the darkest kind I could find with a purple hue. It has a real Eva Braun kind of dark look, lol. I hope that helps.

for mine I used eyeshadows and chapstick XD

all I did was put the chap stick on my lip then lightly applied the layer or ligh purple eyeshadow and blended that into the chapstick, then a dark blue layer, then another layer of light purple and toped it off with silver eyeshadow and another layer of chap stick. it worked just like normal lipstick :)

Moonlove makes an affordable purple lipstick, in fact I think the Beauty supply by me actually has a few left. The only problem with it is it goes on a little dry, so I use a tiny bit of chapstick with it. Is it me or since the shiny shirt and weird colored makeup fad is over its been harder and harder to find crazy color makeup???
