I have a tattoo that I need to cover up for a costume that I'm going to be taking pictures in soon. I have very pale skin and I needed for it to be covered up and look natural. The tattoo has colors in it and is 3 inches across. If anyone has any suggests that would be most helpful!

There have been other threads that dealt with this before.....but anyways, you want Dermablend makeup. It's designed to cover tattoos and scars and such. You can get it at makeup/theatrical supply stores or at some department stores.

1) Dermablend, Dermablend, Dermablend!!
2) Ben Nye's Tattoo concealer or concealer wheel

The only thing I can add is that if you have extremely fair skin, Dermablend's lightest color may not be light enough for you. A friend of mine has a tattoo that is very difficult to cover because the are she applies it to is actually paler than the lightest color that they make.

It covers, yes, and very well given it's a fairly dark tattoo. However, because of the slight shade difference between her skin and the makeup, one might think she has a faint bruise or something if they look too closely.

LOL that reminds me of back in 1999 when I was cosplaying as Queen Amidala for the opening of Episode 1 (before we knew it sucked) and I went to the local theatrical supply place to get some white makeup. I described what I wanted (sort of like geisha makeup) and the woman said "well we actually have this colour called 'Geisha', it's a white with a slight pink tint to it, try it out." So I try a bit........and I could have used it as foundation. You know you're really pale when...*lol*

Does this stuff work if you have a dark tattoo?

I have a tattoo on my thigh and it'll show since my songstress dress is transparent.

I ned to hide it fromt he little kiddies, it's kinda naughty.

Like Dany said, if you have extremely pale skin, Dermablend might not have a color match. Otherwise, it covers dark tattoos really well.

I was thiking for the light people. WHy not put a dab of the white makeup in with the other stuff to make it lighter to there tone? I have a tat also so I know that I will have to do that. I am kind of sad that my little dragon has to covered for a day. But it is for cosplaying so I guess that is ok.
