I need help! Ai-kon is comming up in about two weeks and I have no idea how to make myself look like Eriol (from CCS). I'm doing to do a bit older version of him in his manga costume since I'm really tall but here's what I need help with.

How do I do my make up to make me look: a.) like a boy
b.) kinda bishi.

This is my first real cosplay costume and I want to look really convining and fool people! It would kinda suck if I had the costume (got great fabric for manga colors ^_^ but didn't look like him (aka a boy -__-;) HELP!! thank you!!

since Eriol uses glasses (right? i cant remember, but i'm pretty sure) you're already calling attention to your eyes..

I've seen some japanese girls cosplaying bishounen and a common thing is to use dark grey eyeshadow lightly on upper eyelid. Ithink you should also curl your lashes but dont use mascara if they're already dark..

and use neutral color lip-gloss *^.^*

This post (http://forums.cosplay.com/showpost.php?p=723553&postcount=15) should cover most of it but with these minor exceptions/additions:

Use a matte lip balm (Chapstick makes one for men) or anything lip moisturizer that does not impart any sort of shine. Lightly cover lips with your concealer, foundation, or any nude color. You don't want them to be rosy or have any real color whatsoever!

Follow the brow grooming tips but shape them to appear slightly fuller than usual.

Curl your lashes but apply only a light lash tint in a soft black/brown. If you only have mascara, lightly apply one layer of black/brown. You can define & contour your eye crease with a matte eyeshadow two or three shades darker than your natural skintone. Blend well.

Thanks for the tips, but I don't really need to worry about flawless skin, I'm already have fairly pale (eriols pale) and clean skin that comes out nicer in photos then in real life o.O.

The "flawless skin" advice is merely the base for any character. I added a few other things in the above comment that would apply to creating a "male" look. Honestly, what characterizes "bishounen" characters best is their lack of blush/color, looooong eyelashes, full yet well-groomed brows, defined facial contours, and of course nude lips.

If you wanted a more dramatic look, mimic the eye make-up seen on the attached picture of Gackt. Otherwise, I feel safe in my previous recommendations. :)

YAY! thank you very much, everything helps!! ^_^. I like the make up around gackts eyes in that picture. Any suggestion on how to do it? (I tried, didn't turn out right though.)

I think the "Gackt" reference would also work for a bishie Ayame look.

Curl your lashes. Use light matte shadow across your entire lid, to just beyond the outer corner-lid only and under the brow bone; skip the brow bone if your eyes are deep set. Place a touch of smoky grey eyeshadow in the crease and blend, extending it to the corner. The light shade brings out your eyes; the darker shade gives them dimension.

Using a powdery pencil or crayon in soft black or charcoal, begin at the corner of your eye, at the point on your lid where lashes; the starting point isn't that critical since you'll be smudging the line. Make liner thicker toward the outer corner of your eye, thinner at the inner corner. Don't allow eye liner on the top and bottom lids to meet at the corner. This "closes" eyes. Smudge liner just enough to blur the edge, pushing color onto your lid and/or just towards the corners. Smudging can be done with the ring or pinky finger, a cotton swab or a sponge-tip shadow applicator. Don't tug. You can use a soft black lash tint but anything else might appear too girlish.
