A great website my friend gave me was:

http://yzak.nu

They have TONS of artbook pics and show the details of the ZAFT outfit and other outfits in the series as well. ^^ Hope that could help you out. As for pattern, you could make your own pattern, combine pattern, or find one. Which could be hard. X.x I know Athrun's outfit wraps around somewhat like a kimono so I was gonna use that pattern. But it's up to you. ^^ Lol. Go check out pattern books at local art stores like Ragshop or Walmart and see if you could find a simliar one. ^^

A kimono pattern? I dunno... I'd use something more like the old fashioned military uniforms with the high collar. You can extend the side of the front of it by taping newspaper or tissue paper on to it. Of course, I think there are also some uniforms that are already made in the double breasted style. Just adjust it for what is different.

I made a Fllay costume this past May, and while it's the other uniform in that series, the one bit of advice I can give you about the panels on the shoulders is that you don't have to cut everything exactly right- My panels are sewn on top of the costume, and I remember when I first started sewing I always thought that where one color ended and another began, the fabric had to be that way too. So you can cut out the whole costume in red first, and then put the black detailing on top of it. (I hope this made some form of sense, cause I just almost confused myself typing it c_c)

Truthfully, I am still a little stumped about that particular design. It's one I want to make myself, I just don't have the guts to yet. XD I wish you the best of luck!

Thanks for the info. That website was awesome now i that i have several shots to look at i can make it. But what to make it out of. I've got the leather to attach on the shoulders but should i do the same for the cuffs or use regular cloth.
